Thank you so much for all the advice. My husband has very dense very curly hair, but it's thinning so he shaved his head, as in BALD! I totally HATE IT! I LOVE his curls. I'm gonna show him this video so he can grow his hair so his curls show, probably shorter than yours, but just wanna see those curls! And, yes, his curls are dark brown but look like Annie's, but I love it! Thanks again.
My man, you rock. Not sure why you aren’t sponsored, but you ought to be. If you have this style of hair and don’t know what to do, listen to this guy. He knows what’s up.
I have to say I’m in class rn but I was watching videos and trying to figure what curls I got and i found your channel and you have the same curls as me and now I love you because I’ve been looking for a way to keep my curls looking wet and you’ve shown me how now my man, I love you
Good video I cut my hair when it's the same length as yours but I also like how I look with curls 🙃 I'm going to use pomade next time and other shampoo instead of H&S.
Love your videos brother. I’m on Harry’s website as I am typing this and cant decide between the taming cream and the texturizing putty. Have you tried the former?
Hi do you think I should cut my top and curls lentgh a little and I have tight curls will the product you use make it looser because I’m trying to lossen my curls
Finaly someone that showed us curly hair bastards how not to look homeless when we wake up and keep it simple. You literally cant find a normal video about curly hair ,its always some dudes that use 10 products and sleep in silk and probably jerk off to their own hair.
Love this. Theres so much advice on curls for women but not a lot for men. I have curls myself and when I wanted to teach my boyfriend how to style it, non of my go to techniques worked on him. I just sent this to him and hope it'll help!!
Frankie bro, you’ve genuinely answered every question I’ve had about my hair, I had basically the exact same hair as you do now, I didn’t rock hats cause that shit looks wack as hell I felt like, however I always wanted to rock them. I never would put my hair back and slick it back just because of my huge ass forehead but I still always find myself wanting to do that shit. I cut my hair down to a fade and have been growing it out for about 2 months, im trying to grow it back out to that length again, I love your beard too man, I have huge beard envy and can’t grow anything for shit rn but I’m also about to graduate high school. Anyways Frankie, thank you again sincerely, I need to say fuck it and just rock it back like you do and rock hats, still just kinda getting to that point and when I have my hair grown out. nothing but love to you for these past few videos, and another thing before u end my whole ass book I’m writing rn. Keep going with your RU-vid, it’s fucking hilarious and GREATLY appreciated, not saying you gotta be some beauty influencer, be whatever the hell and upload what’s we the hell you want to, vlog style honestly is super entertaining to watch how you’ve been doing. you do you man, just wanted to encourage you. I’ll be coming back 👏
Well shit!! I really appreciate this comment and I’m glad i can help u feel confident to rock ur natural hair! Right back at ya man, just do u and don’t care what anyone says, as long as ur feelin confident that’s all that matters. Ppl gave me a ton of shit when i first started growing it out and rocking it, now no one says a damn thing. And appreciate the love on my channel 🤌🏼 at this point I’m just having a good time, no expectations but comments like these keep me goin 🙏🏼
FINALLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY SOMEONE WHO HAS SIMILAR HAIR AND DOES IT SIMILAR TO ME, this was just what i was looking for omfg, i also only shampoo once a week, any more times a week and my hair just goes too frizzy but this was just the video i needed the shampoo i have is just a random one
You, my guy, have finally shaped my hair. I sadly don't have access to mat finish pomade for curly hair, but I use collagen combing cream and it has personally worked really well for me. Apart from that, I've used all your techniques and it's been awesome, I love you man ❤️❤️
Dude this is an amazing video. Not only the information, but how you present it and your editing is amazing. Keep it up man! Also your skin looks really good. Maybe one day you’ll have to make a video on that lol
Might not be dandruff! You might just be drying out your scalp by using shampoo everyday. If you’re going to use something everyday just use conditioner and keep the shampoo to once a week! Try that out 🙏🏼
Can you send me a link of some shampoo and conditioner that I can use:)? I’m starting to grow out my curly hair and I have no conditioner and my shampoo douse not follow the rules.
brah, with that kind of humor and with these amazing tips in less than a year youll be stormed with more subs trust, keep uploading vids like these and were with you all the way
@@MrFrankieJoseph do you got insta or any place youre more active would love to follow you, ps ive been binge watching a few vids and im addicted lmfao
I think you’re right - But the wrong kind can dry out your scalp which damages and dries your hair so it’s important to get one that doesn’t coat your scalp with shit that’s gunna flake off
SO MUCH respect to you my man! Everyone wants to over complicate everything! Your videos are to the point, informative, and most importantly not f***ing boring. 🐐 (I know you are probably sick of questions BUT how often do you use the pomade?)
Ay!! Appreciate the comment my friend. Not sick of questions at all, glad I’m helpin ppl out 🤌🏼 i use the pomade anyway I’m not going to wear a hat haha it’s almost an everyday thing for me now
Thanks for the tips in all the videos! Along with the comedic timing. I have your exact hair I just need the top to still get a little longer. Also I just looked and my shampoo follows all the rules needed 🤣🤣🤣 scJohnson Baby Shampoo 🤣🤣🤣
Shit ! I’m wondering if maybe you need a hair thickening product?? Have you tried “Hims” ?? I hear it’s great but i haven’t tried ! But I’d say check it out
This is peak ADHD curly hair energy and it's what I've been looking for my whole f-ing life thank you so much Also how do you feel about low-poo/nopoo products?
My ADHD is in full effect lmao I honestly had no idea what low-poo/no-poo was but i just looked it up and it seems like I’m more of a low-poo guy (a technique that uses shampoo without aggressive sulfates, insoluble silicones and petrolatum derivatives to wash hair) so seems like my shampoo fits in that category. No-poo seems kinda wonky but hey open to trying 🤌🏼
yes charlie!!! it was a twist of fate when i read the side of a pomade one day that said "perfect for curly hair" i couldnt have been more confused but here we are
@@med8615 I think I'm still figuring out the right amount to use. I have long hair (just past my shoulders), so it's been trial and error. I don't hate it, though! It definitely helps with the frizz.
One last question, idk if you already responded to it in your first video or not, but do you wet your hair every morning ? Even if you don't shampoo or don't put conditionner in
I kinda wanna know this too. I wet it this morning but didn't like how it felt a little greasy all day. I saw someone comment on one of his other videos that they use a spray bottle just to refresh things a little bit, so I think I'm gonna give that a try.
I do - i shower every morning, or at least stick my whole head under the faucet. Thats the one downfall of the pomade, you’ve gotta kind of start from scratch every morning. Spray bottle trick will probably work for sure, but you definitely need to get it wet every mornjng
so funny because I was literally talking to a friend how HARD it is for me to look in the mirror and not find myself "crazy looking". We grow with all those references (which sometimes can be true), but subconsciously leads us to just not like our natural hair. This week I even found myself blow drying again because I wanted to look "put together" for a few client meetings. I will get there one day.
Absolutely man lol I hear you. Even when it looks great sometimes natural I still find myself thinking if I just cut it I’d look a lot more traditionally put together haha 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
Damn. I'm a curly girl with long hair and whenever I go get my hair cut, I only have them trim off the dry ends. Really nothing much. Like usually with telling them what I want, washing, trimming and everything I'm in there for like 20 mins tops. 80$. And that's considered cheap. Fml 😂 oh and also even though they really don't have to do much on my hair, a lot of hairdressers still somehow manage to mess it up. Like it sometimes just looks so crappy after a cut. I feel like a ton of hairdressers only know how to properly cut straight hair but not curls and that's kinda sad lol
I swear there’s some sort of weird disparity between what they charge men vs women lol!! So damn true lol! I actually seeked out a hair guy who has curly hair themselves and that helped a ton lol
If you over shampoo it’ll be dry as hell! I’d say it takes about a month for your hair to get used to it. The trick is still showering every morning but just washing the product out without shampoo
You speak for the people! Does this mean you just rinse your hair on the average day? If you don't shampoo and conditioner everyday, do you put pomade in every morning? Thanks for the great video
Ok I did a little research and found this site!! www.nepal.ubuy.com/en/product/Q240D14-american-crew-pomade-3-oz/?ref=list-es&ti=189 It’s not the same stuff I’m using but any “texturizing putty” or “pomade” should work! Try American Crew, it’s another favorite of mine besides Harry’s
I use it everyday (unless I’m wearing a hat) - which is also why I like the “water based” pomades best, because they just rinse right out without needing to shampoo.
thank you so much for this, really appreciating your videos and humor! one question, when i use the pomade my hair stays looking wet like all day. have you had that happen before/do you know what to do about it?
Yes! All you have to do is touch it once it’s dried. Shake your head a little and just scrunch your hair with dry hands. Should take that wet look away but still hold it all together
hey man! I am from Spain and I looked for a no sulfates no parabens no silicones shampoo in the local megamarket but I couldn't find one without sulfates. Are those that harmful for curly hair? These do not have parabens or silicones, it is just sulfates. I hope you can answer me soon bud
It’s always the shampoo that’s a pain to find haha i don’t think it’ll be too bad for your hair, and there’s a good chance if it doesn’t have silicones or parabens then the sulfates are probably at a pretty low level even if it does have them
What does your hair look like from the back I’ve got blonde curls and they go into cork screws at the back and it’s difficult to have a flow into it not sure what to do
Yeah man same. My hair is pretty much the same all over, it curls in the back too but I usually get some of the weight taken off in the back of my head so it’s not so thick, should have it be more flowy
@@MrFrankieJoseph okay cheers My barber always seems to butcher my hair then needs time to recover after a while but after that it’s usually okay Good thing with having long hair I can go a couple months without a cut
Ha, I use Eyal as a reference when I show my barber. But I am only halfway there. I am really liking your channel so far. I have just turned 34, and it took me up until a year ago to embrace having curly hair, so your channel really helps on how to maintain it.
yes eyal is a great reference lol but hes one of those ppl that just lets his hair air dry - drives me nuts! and ya man, embrace the hair - its a great look
A little bit of both, maybe a light massage at least. usually i try not to scrub with my fingers because I’ve heard it’s bad for your head? Don’t know how true that is but I’ve taken it to heart lol
why you don't detangle your hair with a wide tooth comb in the shower? i heard it makes your curls better and you should only detangle your hair with conditioner in it and while its wet
Ya know I’ve heard mixed things. I hear it’s good but then i also hear that combing/brushing your hair when it’s wet can ruin your hairline so I’m just not taking any chances 😂
I don't know what the hell my hair type is but you're the closest example to it. Most hair dressers I've been to only know how to work with straight hair and for many years I didn't know just how curly they were. I've found a great way to communicate with them and that is 90s George Michael. I show them a picture and they sometimes understand, other times just fuck my hair up.
Hey Frankie! Amazing videos man, every time I come back to your channel it feels like you've gained 100 subs which is so awesome to see. Just had one question for you, is the pomade something you apply daily after a shower? If someone did shower daily and use conditioner everyday or every alternate day just wetting their hair, should they re-apply pomade each time? Thank you so much!
first off thank you for comin back!!! second, honestly on the days i just wash my hair i normally toss a hat on and wear a hat for the day. but if im not wearing a hat, the pomade goes in. at this point idk what my life would be like without it lol
Hey man thanks for doing these videos, your hair is very similar to mine so it helps alot, especially since I've finally started to see the beauty of my curls 😂 Just wondering though, how much time did you let your hair grow to reach this state? Like how many months do you just let it grow before going to a barber? Thanks a lot man!
