@@davee91889 yeah that’s clear to see, in my country it would be seen as something only men attracted to other men would do back in the days hence not widely accepted. I was curious to know how this was socially accepted but not a man and a woman dancing together. So interesting how each society perceives what’s “right” and what’s “not right”
As a half Argentinian who took Tango once I can tell u that it's pretty amazing what u can do if your guiding partner is a good dancer, hell simply tell you with his body what movement you have to make..it's not easy if you're a person who likes to be in control tough..
The red shirt is on FIRE! Wow! The gray pants was obviously the lead here. In all of these formal dances--from the waltz to the foxtrot to merengue to salsa to tango--the "man" is the lead and the one who doesn't move much. But the "woman" is the one with the twinkle-toes and acrobatics. They did the division of labor very well in this here dance. LOL.
I wish I knewSpanish, or Portugese, whichever. But I dont, so if someone could post in English the dancers names, I would love to see more of their dancing. They are wonderful! Hopefully I can more vids of them on youtube.
Leigh Perry the black haired dancer is Vincent Hodin. I’ve no idea who the dancer in red is but he has appeared in other videos. You can find them by searching for ‘two men dancing tango’ or something similar on RU-vid. Hopefully someone will be able to tell us his name soon!
Okay, I got in touch with Vincent Hodin and sent him the link to this video. Apparently, the brunette fella is NOT him, it's a dancer named John Hernan Raigosa. He-Vincent-has no idea who the redhead is. So the search continues. Sigh...

Originalmente en un principio, el tango y sus variantes se bailaba solamente entre hombres y nunca se consideró gay ni afeminado si no, todo lo contrario, era un baile de "machos" y "malevos" pues comenzó a darse en zonas marginales de Buenos Aires.
Tuve la oportunidad de ir Argentina y fui a una noche de Tango y Vi gente bailando tango en las calles. Deberías ir al país y decirles q cambiaron el principio de su cultura puesto que no ví una pareja de hombres bailandolo si no a parejas conformadas por hombres y mujeres. Y en lo particular sin ser homofóbico creo que se ve bonito es entre un hombre y una mujer. Por la ropa q lucen y por la sexualidad como se baila q es de seducción.

@@Empy003 I don't believe that anyone would actually think that watching this could turn them gay or anything like this. However, many people feel uncomfortable in the presence of "display of homosexuality" (for the lack of a better word) - even if those two men are just platonic dance partners. It's like watching a movie with homosexual main characters. Some people might ask themselves "Why do I watch this? Am I interested same-sex relationships? What does that make me?" instead of just acknowledging that the characters are just ordinary people. I think this is especially the case when people actually do have suppressed interests like this. Or, you know, they might just be afraid that anyone associates homosexuality with them. It's a sad thing in many ways.
In the United Kingdom, we have a TV programme called 'Strictly Come Dancing.' In 2020, it featured it's first same-sex couple, and the general public went crazy....To my mind, it doesn't matter if it's two men, two women or a mixed couple dancing. It's about the SKILL of the couple dancing, interpretation and ultimately, the dance itself. Both dancers in this clip were SUPERB! Thank you for the upload 👍👍👍
It's also super old-fashioned for two men to dance together. People forget that in the old days, men often danced together when dancing was not such a personal romantic thing.
