They're trying it. Just like how single women (who want to be in relationships/married, who want to be chosen) are now demonising their mothers and grandmother's relationships with non existent stories. Now, all of a sudden, it's "I don't wanna be like my mum or her mum, who were getting cheated on XYZ" or "Uno you dad/grandad had a whole other family back home" Any excuse, rather than do the work themselves.
