I thank God I was spared considering that I was born in South Africa 🇿🇦 in 1987. Can you imagine if my mom had been given tainted blood!!!😢

I was diagnosed with HIV at 15 I didn't know about this at all I didn't sleep with anyone, I was born with it, I was adopted idk why my adoptive mom didn't treat me for it I had rashes everywhere so sick my legs still have scares , I was DEVASTATED, broken and lost💔. I had just started high school too second year it was the worst time of my life I'm 20 now I still don't accept it but I've learnt how to live with it, I take a pill around 8:00 pm and go to the clinic for check ups , take bloods every 6 months I've just gotten used to it. South Africa🇿🇦

Right? His voice brings me right back to the living room in my childhood home. Chili's cooking on the stove and I'm pissed because it's almost bedtime. It's....an oddly specific memory his voice triggers 🤣

This was the first show I saw about AIDS. I remember the conversation my family had afterward too and our takeaways were very different and I spent years terrified for the wrong things. I hope adults are open with their kids today.

I've been devouring all this amazing documentary content on RU-vid its insanely interesting and shocking and sad, I am STUNNED by how many people cheat on husbands and wives and its a normal thing to them .... honestly had no idea people were so casual about cheating.

Everyone thought triple therapy wasn’t around til 96 . Truth is s select few were on it 1990 but couldn’t share the good news . The guy that was part of triple cocktail was guilty feeling watching people die . They would ask how he came back healthy and couldn’t tslk

I still think they need to run PSA's on this disease at least 2x a month.Regardless of how far they have come in medical treatment - its still exists.Peace and love to the beautiful people that have been taken by this disease🙏🏾

@@faithintheunseen1294 This video aired in 1987. Magic announced his status in 1991. A lot of people hung on long enough to catch the lifeboat. My mom's friend has had it for at least 34-35 years.

Not likely she had AIDS in 1987. Heaart didn't come until 1997 ,if she had hiv and it didn't progress to AIDS she could have lived with anti viral medication. She was already loosing weight. AIDS patients only had 3 years or less life expediency after they had full blown AIDS , that term isn't used today ( full blown AIDS) its just AIDS. I wish they had medication 💊 that worked then ❤️ these people didn't deserve it

@@adamwalker2377 I was 17 DAYS pregnant. It wasn’t a baby. I induced a miscarriage using RU-486 at home alone with just my two dogs. I looked at everything that came out of my vagina. On the maxi pad, blood. In the toilet, blood. Down the shower drain, blood. Lots and lots of blood, on and off for several weeks. I can assure you that there was not a baby anywhere in sight. Not so much as a kneecap, elbow, toe, finger, eyeball, an ear, or a tuft of hair. Just blood. What came out of my vagina was blood. Not a baby. Just say you hate women and be done with it. Oh, by the way, Adam, how many times have you been pregnant?

No you didn’t have to be promiscuous, You are so ignorant keep these blinders on eventually you will fall off of a cliff😤😡I had quite a few patients who weren’t promiscuous they were sexual partners didn’t know that they had it. Love can be blind and people have a certain image in their minds of what an AIDS patient looks like.
