Enchanted with so much beauty, in fact everything that refers to Italy makes me fascinated, your videos are perfect, this information that you pass during the video makes all the difference.
The lakes region of northern Italy is breathtakingly beautiful, scenic and a “must”visit for travelers-it’s in my bucket list. I have several paintings of Lake Como and Lake Maggiore by artists who were inspired to capture on canvass this wonderful scenery on site.
What I like about Menaggio is that walking a few blocks inland you can see normal Italian life and not just showy touristy stuff. It's good if they made the coastal walk south more pedestrian friendly; there are historic villas open for visits in a few scenic miles. Good base for a daytrip to Lugano, but be sure to get off the (Swiss postal?) bus or ferry early at Gandria. There the fascinating coast walk to Lugano goes thru a fascinating olive grove that has tons of explanatory english signage.

An outstanding professional taped video of Lago di Como the little town or village of Menaggio. Thank you for taking the time to record all the little details, giving us it's history, the climate, the weather so well rounded. I truly hope that now in 2023 it is fully opened and just as beautiful as it is here on this video.

The lake is famous for the natural beauty of its setting and for the handsome villas on its shores. Among the many noted lakeside resorts are Como, Lecco, Bellagio, Tremezzo, Menaggio, and Varenna. Several towns are connected by steamer services.

I love Menaggio. We stayed in Cadenabbia a couple of times and we took the ferry. The Grand Hotel is definitely on my list the next time we stay in the area.

@@iraqi3698 Visitors are fine... it's the volume of Arabs and Indians that are moving in to ALL of our western countries because the Middle East and the entire region is still a complete disaster... even after thousands of years, those culutures (dominated by religion/islam) are a complete mess... so you all apply for VISAs to move into ours, and take your culture with you. We are losing our cultures and heritage.
Hey Clark, glad you enjoyed it. I just went to Montana but didn't make it to Lake McDonald. I was planning on going to Flathead lake but I didn't make it there either. We spent too much time explore old towns. The Varenna video will be up this Saturday. I have a Como walk and and bike ride to post up to wrap things up on Lake Como.

@@ProWalks Well, my husband certainly finds it easier to drive in the southern part of Piedmonte. We've stayed near Cuneo. It makes it easy to drive into Dogliani which was nearest, also a reasonably short drive to Barolo, Alba, Asti, Mondovi and Vicoforte.
I have a question about the date. Both the hard-coded title (at 1:02) and the description mention Saturday July 9th 2022. This make sense, but you also said the Bellagio day walk was filmed on the 9th at around the same time. I'm guessing that the Bellagio date was a typo, and that it was actually filmed on the 8th, and this one (Menaggio) was filmed on the 9th. Is that correct? I just want to make sure! (I take notes about all your walks, so like to be correct!)
Yeah, I made mistake about that. I filmed Menaggio first that day and then took the ferry to Bellagio and filmed there. I always say the date and time when I start filming...except this time because I started filming on the ferry over and never said the time out loud. I had to guess the time...but I turned out I was wrong. First time for everything. :)
