Phantastisch !
I just enjoy watching those skillful crane operators from that demolition company in Germany!! They really know how to use a ball effectively. The crane operator doesn't even have to move the crane at all from where he was to work the ball, either booming in and out for a straightaway "punch", or use the combination of swing with the live boom to deliver a "roundhouse" punch to the side. There is virtually no wasted motion in his attack, just blow after blow to get the structure down. Hats off to those fabulous operators!! And I definitely like those awesome Menck cranes! Tough and versatile.
@@Menckbagger As an American, I have been watching quite a few demolition videos of this German firm, and I am truly impressed by their operators' skill, and of the German crane manufacturer, Menck. Is Menck still producing cranes in Germany? And, what year of manufacture is the example shown in this video?
@@mariotorres6287 this M152 was produced after WWII about 1950. Menck was overtaken by other companies in the early seventies and stopped producing the whole programm. Menck ceased existing anylonger about 1973. Other Cranes in this Company are produced before WWII around 1936 and still existing and working as a dragline or do demoiltion work. They are mechanical operated no air is needed. Two footpedal are brakes for the drums. one hand control swinging the other two drums with two levers side by side. No need for change hands to other levers. All in two hands and easy to control. No the new machines, Liebherr or Hitachi have similar controling levers but with support.
@@Menckbagger That Menck was a well-engineered and well-built machine that is still at work, that is only two years older than me, and well-maintained by its owners. Reminds me somewhat of the Northwest machines that were produced here in America: tough, well-designed and built. Thanks for that information!! Your video is excellent; almost like being there just taking in the sounds and action on site. I look forward to seeing more of these Menck cranes in action!!
9:14 Mr Hoser-Downer took a rapid retreating scuttle! I find these demolition videos with the great big swinging pearl much more pleasing to watch than the prehistoric jaws nibbling away at concrete and rebar for lunch!
very good video! i love these old cranes, i filmed an old Ruston bycurus with a wrecking ball a year ago, the old ones still beats the new machines sometimes =)
Very good machinist. I have long been looking for the name of a movie that had two guys fighting over a bag of money that was hidden inside a building that was being destroyed by a machine like this. Does anyone remember this movie?
I sure hope the guy hosing down the bebri is being paid well, other than the fact he is standing in harms way he does not even have a hard hat or safety glasses on. Hope he has good life insurance.
That was my first thought when the video started, he is in the wrong place and even more so while they are knocking out the underpinnings of the building.
The dust control man doesn't appear to wearing any PPE? Hi-viz, hard helmet and goggles ? 9:10 just seems wrong to me. Unexpected collapse, dust control monitor, back pedalling. He could have fallen and split his head open. Hope that proper PPE and safe method of work is now in place on these sites.
+victorrod9669 Things seemed to be a little out of control at the end as well will high gable still in place and attacking the lower structure. Always a possibility of a collapse which gets out of control if one does that. Dust control operative had to move backwards sharply, he could have easily have tripped and split his head open on the rubble or have been hit by debris.
what did you expect in a country without speed limit and no ban on cigarette ads????? Environmental protection (on paper) is more important then human life
DAS IST SO GEIL MENCK BAGGER DAS BESTE WAS ES GAB UNFERÜSTLICL HAB MAL EINE WESERHÜTTE W180 GEFAHREN aber da kommen die nicht DRAN EINFACH NUR SPITZE DIE GERÄTE
No problem with anything here. A hard hat wouldn’t be much of a match with what’s flying around. The ground man is just where he needs to be: beside the crane. He’s out of the way and the operator knows exactly where he’s at from the spraying water. You folks worry so much about what could happen that ye can’t get much done. Safety’s fine but too much safety can be even more dangerous. If ye don’t know what I’m talking about, then ye ain’t been on too many jobs.
Anyway, a hard hat is a mandatory equipment at a construction site and in case of an incident his company has to pay for everything, not the insurance.
