In those nimble fingers and flashing feet, I could just imagine the swelling tide as it rushed into the confined space of the cave and blew out through the blowhole and then receded, to repeat once more........what a truly electrifying experience! Jonathan, you're a legend!

brillant! DEcades ago I did restore a self playing "Aeolian orchestrelle" big reed organ and one of the paper rolls was that ouverture and that reminds me to that instrument

There used to be a version of Fingal Caves on RU-vid that was absolutely supreme in its imitation of the orchestra sound and now it's gone
