hi everyone! thank you for all of your kind comments! this recording is a bit old, so i'd really appreciate it a lot if you check out my newest recording of the Mendelssohn violin concerto with accompaniment! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LXnCN4iDu80.htmlsi=VVXWOwlkGI_KKlxq
everyone is talking about how theres no accompaniment but this is so good! the intonation is amazing im a violinist myself and this is just wonderful! i know u practice 40 hours a day
For one who has heard the E-min concerto, you can play the orchestra in your head 🙂. I have always wondered what the violin solo was like in an isolated sense and I got my answer. So bold and so awesome. I can hear every note. I absolutely love it. This is like the stripped back version and it would just be cool to hear more of the virtuosic showpiece[s] in this manner as in Paganini Violin Concerto No1, Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto Op35 and of course Shostakovich's Violin Concerto in A-minor. Excellent job!! **Gave me. Janie Jansen vibes 😁
Playing this without any support, just silence has gotta be almost as hard as playing it on stage. You really have nowhere to hide if you mess up. It’s all in one take too, so this was really impressive. If you haven’t performed Mendelssohn with an orchestra already I hope you get to do it soon.
As a Professional Violinist and an Orchestra conductor I believe that this young artist is destined for greatness . Just a very few errors and some needed refinement in bowing. It is very good.
I've never heard this piece unaccompanied and it sounds AMAZING!!! I hope to one day be able to play this piece just a great as you did (I just started learning the violin not too long ago so this is very inspiring).
Great playing , unparalleled confidence , appropriate response to those unfair criticisms levied upon you . This Mendelssohn concerto is unbeatable , always sounds fresh and lyrical when well played . I love Mendelssohn the most , he is a true genius. His Fingal's Cave Overture is second to none.
This concerto is by far my favorite work for the violin. Thank you so much for playing this, specially without the orchestra behind, so we can fully appreciate your part. Bravo, as a pianist and fond of romantic music, I take my hat off to you.
Beautifully played! I love unaccompanied recordings of the violin repertoire, somehow your channel flew under the radar for me till now but glad I stumbled upon it
This is so good 😭😭😭 I’ve just started learning this song and I want to use it for an audition but I can’t play it that well so ur video is helping a lot
im a 2nd year violin in my orchestra 😭😭 man i really wish this is me one day!! im a classical nerd and theres so much pieces i wish i had the skills to learn
What are the chances you post an unaccompanied version of the third movement? Unless you already have, in which case, please point me in that direction. Thank you in advance.
hii!!! im a young violinist trying to learn this piece, do you have any tips on how to give this piece feeling? i dont know, but when i play it, it just feels like im playing it, not giving it personality iykwim!! since your very talented, i was just wondering!! btw, amazing octaves 😭😭
thank you!! to give the piece feeling, try experimenting with phrasing: this includes dynamics and/or different ways of bow usage. like bow distribution, speed, placement, etc. just experiment with new bow techniques and see what you like best. :)
A bit pitchy and sometimes when you use the tip of your bow the notes weren’t as clear… but either than that you did awesome and amazing so proud of you
hey also can you give some tips about high position intonation when I go over 3rd to 5th position my sound squeaking still working on it also I hope I'll find a way soon
sure! i think squeaking in the higher registers has less to do with intonation and more with bow control. - try playing closer to the bridge when you get into those higher registers - apply more arm weight in the bridge area - use flat bowhairs (as opposed to putting your bow at an angle) - wipe off any excess rosin that might be sitting on your strings
thank you for your comment. yeah, it's a pillow cloth. i get really bad neck rashes sometimes when i play, so i have to put a cloth there. fortunately i don't use a pillow cloth anymore and i use a thinner handkerchief.
@@ashleeviolin It does not matter, you are so arrogant and, sadly, totally lacking talent. Sewing machine style requires at least playing in tune. All the best at your attempts to be a violinist. Soon the reality will dawn.
@@ashleeviolin good violinists accept criticism and do not throw tantrums. You have NO chance in music - you are insecure, vulnerable and talentless. Typical sewing machine.
@@chanelka9506 There was no such thing as not accepting critisism in her comment, and no tantrums either. If she was insecure about her playing, she wouldn't have uploaded this video, especially without an accompaniment; which clearly shows she has confidence and open for critisism. Talentless, is also a rotten assumption. Talent or not, practice brings people on top. It is utterly obvious she gets things done with her violin, and that's a check in the book.
shanelka, the actual sad reality is that there are people like you that exist on youtube. and it’s about time you realize you’re not going to get anywhere by shaming other people. nice try though. and nice job at deleting your reply comment. you saved yourself lots of embarrassment. all the best at your attempts to bring other people down. soon the karma will dawn.
thank you for your comment, but rubato and musicality comes in many forms; this is one of them. if you have other hobbies besides criticizing those you find on youtube, please feel free to spend your precious time elsewhere.
@@ch1pzahoy226 grow up lil bro and be happy for other violinists who are demonstrating their hard work and time instead of commenting unnecessary stuff on youtube💀🤡
