I think this is wrong; Su is a phenomenal technician, no doubt, but the technique is absolutely in service of the music. She is one of the best performers of Bach since Williams & check out her Parkening prize performance of the Aranjuez concerto. That's a piece of pure emotional goo that she communicates perfectly without falling into the usual cheese trap. The technique/emotion balance allows for a wide range of performer choices.
