Finally another video and now the topic is the Leopard 2 , so great tank. But i noticed in last videos you call exactly the number of the colours you use, please do it again in the next videos, coz many beginners need the paint number of the Vallejos to get a perfect result. Thank you
A tank in the field has antennas placed, mirrors down and no flashing light mounted. But in general it is a very great model. Finally I would like to mention that MENG should have made the choice to include also the parts for the Dutch version.
I've used a bunch, though not all, of the techniques described in this video for my Tamiya 1/16 Leopard 2A7+ Rebuild ( imgur.com/g1Z3S7H ) with one of them being the excessive work he put around the turret ring @40:33 of the chassis with all the pigments and washes to simulate the accumulated dirt which, while certainly realistic, is a HUGE FUCKIN' WASTE of time because it can't be seen AT ALL the second the turret sits on top of the hull and with this model not having an interior to show there's also little use of not having the turret installed. I also wished they'd have kept detailing what he's doing starting @35:33 / @35:45 / @36:13... Is he doing drybrush with Acrylics? Wetbrush with Pigments? Wetbrush with Oils?
Meng, that model is Nuiz :)... but the cammo is wrong, The German factory paints them via a computer system and they all look exactly the same, and with German precision... you cannot wing the cammo, the challenge on this kit is the cammo...
+warfareinscale Thank you, it seemed unusual, and I had seen it in many other videos. Unfortunately I live in a rather backwater area and Art is kind of nonexistant...is there a brand name for this stick so I could order it online?
+warfareinscale Well, thanks anyways. I have been trying to find this specific stick, it seems unusual and I have not found anything similar to what is being used in the video. I guess I will just put up with using my soft pencil until I can find a stick like the one in the video.
Overly complex tracks for no real good reason. Nothing wrong with good quality rubber band tracks for that kit. Give me a metal barrel over those link to link tracks any day. Rest of the kit looks pretty damn awesome though. Good vid thanks.
I'm working in this one right now and agree that the tracks are a bit of a pain as are the torsion bars. Your bang on in saying a metal or one piece plastic barrel would have been better value.
Mr Surfacer is nasty stuff (cellulose thinners) and it stinks.Allways use a mask and extraction fan, allways use a mask and extractor fan for any kind of spraypaint. But a nice model :)
