This is one hell of a semifinal. We have the BC One old guard, the veteran and hometown hero Menno, facing off against 15 year old phenom Shigekix. Both B-Boys performed at an incredible level, and make the judges choice a tough one. Who did you want to see win?

Red Bull BC One is the biggest one-on-one B-Boy competition in the world. Every year, thousands of dancers across the globe vie for a chance to represent at the World Final. Shigekix couldnt compete with Mennos flow. But Shigekix musicallity was alot better, didnt feel Menno using the beat at all. I understand why Crazylegs would go for shigekix since he said he looks for someone dancing more to the beat.

Sometimes he was on the beat, but he was at times out of sync with the music. It annoyed me quite alot even though i like Menno. Musicallitywise Shigekix took it.

i can see the future (on 2019) he will reach issei and get title on big event like redbull and silverback shigekix can't reach issei now, but he reach and better than young issei (when issei enter redbull bc on at same age like shigekix) so far, keep improving shigekix, you better than young issei

+SovjetOnion he save his best move, if he throw what he got and best move he will take that, i know that, if this is kozen system issei will take round 1 because all judge like issei set on first round, if he throw best powerful move on round 2 and improving more on round 3 he will take that, i can see that, go watch live stream and you will see judge reaction

And the outcome? Wing took it. And rightfully so. Wing took out every of his signatures and hit them too. Issei underestimated Wing. Most powerful issei vs Wing on his game it may have been close. But it was a demolition in that battle. I know people can be biased for bboys and say they won, although they lost, but the quality is to look in a neutral perspective. Wing took it fair and square bro

Good battle. Right decision for me. Shigekix is good, but repeats a lot and wasn't that clean. Being so young I guess he'll keep improving though. Menno on the other hand was on point and on beat like crazy!

I do not get how Menno won that. Imo Shingekix was a lot more impressive. I also found it a bit strange that as soon as BC One is in netherlands a native wins. Same with Issei in Japan, though I do like Issei. (This isnt saying menno is bad, just that i think Shingekix should have won here)

Mixing in power moves with dancing is tougher and should get more points. Not sure how these easier dancing gets these bboys wins. It's probably why breakdancing isn't as popular. The judging system is all wrong.

No way Menno won that battle. Shigekix had more endurance, speed, difficult and interesting moves. His musicality and presentational style was also better. I think the judges gave it to Menno because he has more name recognition. Shame on them.

Menno doesn't.. I dare you to list the move(s) that he does over and over, and how many times he did them in this battle. Shigekix did 6 mills, 6 halos, and 4 flares in this battle alone (yes I counted). Those three moves sum up his "style". The majority of Menno's moves don't even have names because he invented them.

1st round split 2nd split 3rd menno koreans are epic in spins, but i feel that's all they do and slightly behind the meta. When menno connects his creative elements it looks much better.
