Thanks for talking about this! More women need to know this method. Mother of 3 here! Pre babies, I was on the pill for 2 years and once I got off it it took over a year for us to conceive. I do think it was the pill. We now do fertility awareness and pull out method. Its 96% effective. I also have a diaphragm but its not my favorite personally because I have a retroverted uterus but a diaphragm is a good option for during your fertile window if you don't like condoms.
I 100% agree more women need to know about this option! Thanks for that suggestion about the diaphragm! I really haven't done any research on them, but it sounds like it could be a good option! I always love looking into and researching new things!
I actually have a friend who doesn't even bother tracking her cycles she just does pull out method all of the time and its been working great for them for 3 years so far. Also Contragel all natural spermacide is nice for during your fertile window as well, in conjunction with pull out.
Basically your 2 options are to refrain from intercourse during ovulation or use alternative methods such as pull out or condoms (if, of course, your trying to prevent pregnancy)
This is so helpful! I appreciate how you share your own experience. I'm very anti-birth control as well but have been using the copper IUD for years just to be safe. Your video is quite inspiring, however. It takes a lot of courage to go this route, but it definitely has its benefits!
The best part about fertility awareness and cycle tracking for me is that I'm so much more aware of what my body is doing and then I can treat it differently depending on where we are in the cycle. Sometimes diet and exercise and what's on my calendar changes depending on my cycle! Really cool stuff!

i hope so too! and I'm praying we get to be on team 3 kids as well! It's hard to imagine being done having babies-even tho sometimes its SO VERY HARD to even have 2 haha!
I'm not a huge fan of condoms because with dryness from postpartum hormones and breastfeeding the extra friction can feel quite uncomfortable, but sometimes they're the best option and we do use them.
