Seems like you both reached the theatre a bit late: 1. In the first 5mins both the character were shown working as a sales boy (even jittu's salary was quoted by her mom i.e 10k) and secondly the song "mere liye tum kafi ho" was also there in the beginning. Guys try to be on time and don't share incompelete information.

The movies or webseries about Gay relationship is not first time in the small /Big Screen but the beautiful things about this movie was that, director beautifully shows the emotional side of the relationship too like the normal relationship like us . As our society have a tendency that same sex relationship only being physical, emotion not exist there but that was wrong they are also human being . *** If Great Movie director Rithuporno Ghosh alive today he will definitely give his good wishes to this film too.
You must have missed the first 10 Mins of the film. Kartik and Aman were Salesman in A Shopping Mall at Delhi who used to sell toothpastes quoting "Kya Aapke Toothpaste mein Pyar Hai?" In a conversation with his mom, she also revealed that his income he send back home is 10,000. And Mere Liye Tum Kaafi ho song was trimmed short and was there just before the Bhoomi Sequence.
The movie does show them working as sales men in the beginning i.e. selling tooth pastes. Did you guys miss the first 5min of the film? 🤔 PS - This was an amazing review btw! 🥰
@MensXP I think you guys should watch the movie carefully in Malang also you gave the incomplete Plot and in this movie also You missed the Story .They were working as Salesman in Mall .

The movie is not set in 2016. It was set in 2018 as article 377 was scrapped in September 2018 and this was shown in the movie. They both work as Salesmen in the movie and earn 10k.
yeah, whatever you said is true but the film is catered to people who don't know or don't want to accept that homosexuality exists. So in that sense, what better way than a commercial comedy with middle class setting.

Company name was shown & they were shown wearing the dress with the logo, even after twenty minutes into the movie. They were wearing the same in the train that you were talking about.
