@@willyfrankenstein6595 Hi Willy. You can find a list of international suicide hotlines here: www.suicide.org/index.html I have also put a couple of links that I found useful at my lowest points in the description box of this video.
I like “Happiness is balance”. So many confuse happiness with pleasures. But I know people who are disabled, grieving and dying who maintain they are happy. I applaud you both for your willingness to learn and to keep on learning.
Kylie this is so perfectly timed with everything that is going in the world. I really feel like people are feeling truly mentally at capacity right now. Also, I adore your dress and your style is always so inspiring!
What a happy surprise to find you on a Wednesday with this very honest and important video! Bravo to both of you for being so open and sharing your experiences with therapy! I've gone through therapy in the past myself but it became too expensive and I could have used more work on myself and could still and this is a great options much more affordable thank you for sharing! Well how times have changed when an Italian man will admit that he's gone to therapy! My father would have never ever done that or admitted it! The stigma still remains. Hopefully this video will help people get past the stigma!
I follow influencers from England and you , I must say of all I watch, you my dear are the most caring empathetic down to earth, real of all that I’ve seen on RU-vid! Keep up the good work and you will go far ❤️. Keep it real
I know I for sure needed to hear this!!youtube should take notice because this channel, content, should win an award for the best video, cinematography, content, real, raw, honest, beauty ..When my Daddy passed away a few years ago depression, anxiety, panic attacks hit me and I don't take any medicine for it,I did go talk to a Therapist but she didn't help me,offered me zero help,so I stopped going,so this for me I can do,your verbally saying everything I feel ,thank you for addressing this major health issue ❤️🙏
Dear Maria, I can’t even imagine the pain of losing a father. I hope you can gradually heal and I hope you have memories of him that you can cherish. Thank you for your sweet words regarding my work. 🙏
I'm sorry this happened to you your body must have gone into shock , I had post natal depression after my son was born and wasnt given medication but didn't take it and tried to fix it myself I took panic attacks for 7yrs and a phycolist explained to me what a panic attack was and I never took 1 again ,, I think at the end of the day we can talk to anyone but its us who have to help ourselves aswell ,,, xx
Not all therapists are created equal and we all need different kinds of therapy. This online solution might well be a much more efficient way to find a therapist who is right for you. I hope things get easier for you soon ❤
Things that have helped my mental health: 1. Accepting things and people as they are and not how you want them to be - and deciding what you need to do or how you will be as the result of that thing or person being the way it is 2. Learning to be resilient, focusing on developing your coping skills so you can accumulate wins and by doing so, gain the confidence to handle the next thing or anything (eventually) that comes your way. 3. Realizing that areas where you struggle are just a mirror to some error in your perception, belief or way of handling that aspect of your life; it points out where you need to focus. 4. Knowing what you value in a healthy way and who can give that to you and who can't. 5. Knowing what your ideal life looks like and aiming everyday to build it more and more. 6. Realizing things take time to sort out, to fix, to build, to obtain and to heal, and one has to practice "anticipatience" - patience while anticipating the end result. 7. Happiness and validation are a choices from the self, don't rely on others for them. 8. Do more of the things that make you happy, regardless of how unhappy you are at the moment. 9. Don't self sabotage, and if you do, don't do it next time. 10. Forgive your self often, but do better next time.
Thank you so much for this video! Normalization of mental health issues is so important! It's easy to look at your regular videos and think oh she's perfect and her life is perfect. But Guido is right we all have to deal with our own "software!" And finding that balance is so essential!
I just wanted to say a HUMONGOUS thank you to you Kylie. Both you and Guido. Your open mindedness, your vision of life and the world is so exquisite. I long to watch videos like this that truly uplift my soul. During difficult times, these are all the words one needs to hear. So again, thank you both! You're amazing!
Thank you, Kylie and Guido, for sharing this vital message about mental health. As a “Quiet” person it is very easy to retreat into my inner self where I feel safe, but there is always anxiety creeping around even in the quiet times. God’s word tells us to be anxious about nothing. The trouble is that God gives us air beneath our wings, but He also gives us the freedom to choose what direction to fly in. In that journey, with all its challenges, we need others to love. This is the greatest commandment: Love One Another. Kylie and Guido, you are well loved!
Thank you so much for this Kylie. I just started at a university in France that is super stressful and puts far too much pressure on us. It felt so nice to take 45 minutes away from work and listen to your soothing, reassuring words :) please continue doing what your doing!
Wonderful information. I honor you, Kylie, for sharing such an important subject. (Holy Cow girl, I couldn't believe how much coffee you put in such a small vessel! Whew, I'd be flying around the ceiling!!!) Blessings.
I’m a clinical social worker and family therapist. Thank you to you and your hubby for sponsoring. Super important option to all who seek mental health support. Bravo Kylie! Hope to meet you some day. What a nice surprise on a Wednesday!
What a nice surprise to see you and Guido today and to discuss such an important topic! Too many believe that therapy doesn’t work or that they just need to “pull themselves up by their bootstraps”. Therapy and positive, encouraging people have literally saved my life! Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic I’ve had severe/debilitating anxiety. I started thinking in terms of mental strength and what that means. Listening to Elizabeth Gilbert’s “Facing Fear with Compassion” really made sense to me and I’ve practiced facing my anxiety/fears this way. I agree with so many points you’ve made!
Thanks so much for this Kylie! This is so important and needs to be discussed openly and honestly. Mental health, especially following the events of the last 18+ months, needs to be a priority for all of us. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Kylie ♥️🕊 you and Guido are most precious; thank you for sharing this very important information 🌷 esp given the times. Btw I was watching thinking I don’t think any more coffee will fit in there, and you said right at that moment ‘I need to add more coffee, it’s not enough’ 😆 God bless 💫
Kylie and Guido your transparency on this topic is so refreshing and much needed. For too long it’s been a topic that is taboo and if you expressed any depression or anxiety then you were looked upon as being weak. Even with all of the awareness today and suicide hotlines, therapy costs are too much for most people and can’t afford to get the mental help they need. The US still has a very long way to go in this area and making it affordable. Once a person is at the end of their rope and sees only suicide as a way out because they couldn’t afford $120-$150 dollars per session then it’s too late to fix. Thank you again for your courage to be open about this. Take care and sending both of you many blessings and love 😍❤️
Wow! That was the best of your best.Loved it..my hardware & software are high on dopamine & serotonin 😀Thanks a ton Kylie & Guido for such a reassuring , enlightening as well as nourishing capsule.Stay blessed, lovelies.
Thank you Kylie and Guido for an open and honest discussion about mental health. This is what we need to hear today. Thank you for taking the time to make this video 👍😊🌞😍
I recommend that people reach out to your physician for a referral as well as an exam. As a therapist I know there are many physical conditions that can cause or contribute to one’s mental health status. Also, if you’ve been depressed or anxious for a long time your physical health may have suffered too. It’s good to have someone local to connect with as well.
This is what makes you such a beautiful soul Kylie and the person you are who everyone loves, so glad you found your soulmate , you two make this channel's content so heartfelt and inspiring to watch. Thank you👼🏼🌼
Wonderful subject you and your husband are talking today, thank you... thank you. I would like to hear more about geriatric psychology, is very hard to find a phsychologist that specialize in senior people 70 and up. I live in Bethesda, Maryland USA, and immediately I saw your videos, I become a fervent follower. You are giving a good example to me and the rest of the world.
Guido went straight into the matter. At the end of the day, each of us just really want to be loved and accepted. This video is beautiful. You two are just lovely lovely people. Thanks!
Yes, anxiety is fear. I read a book years ago, it was called, ' Self help for your nerves by Clare Weekes'. I suffered terribly with anxiety, I read this book and did what it said and slowly began to overcome it. I'm a born again Christian now and live in faith with the peace of God. Now I enjoy life to the full. I see anxiety as the adversary ruining my life. Blessings 🌞🌻
Greetings from Portland Oregon! 👋 Thank you my beloved RU-vid family! So good to have these intimate real talks like sitting around with loved ones listening to kitchen table wisdom! It’s so therapeutic! For me Jesus is my oxygen! Much love across masses miles of land and water! ❤️🌹✝️🙏
I like you both very much. What a wonderful, emotionally competent man Guido is. And what a great couple you are. People who have this level of sensitivity, awareness and introspection and preserve this treasure are rare. Most people live on the outside, chasing after material and superficial things. It doesn't matter whether you access it through psychotherapy, spirituality, meditation, or.... It's about seeing with your heart, pausing and perceiving yourself and the miracle of life with open senses. To be in dialog with your innermost being.
I loved the advice you and Guido gave us. We all need a balance in our life. I loved Guidos comment " Spirituality is the air that we breath". Very true. I loved the sweetness and love you both have for each other. Guido is so sweet... We love watching your videos. Thank you for allowing us into your home and sharing your life with all of us. We love you both❤️ Ho adorato i consigli che tu e Guido avete dato. Mi è piaciuto molto quello che ha detto Guido "La spiritualità è l'aria che respiriamo". Verissimo. Abbiamo tutti bisogno di un equilibrio nelle nostre vite per affrontare molti problemi che incontriamo nelle nostre vite.
I’m so touched by the generosity of spirit of you both. It’s true, anxiety does not discriminate. Thank you both for sharing your personal experiences and keeping these conversations going ❤️ Guido’s perspective was so valuable too. Bless you both for sending hope to anyone that may be struggling at the moment. 🕊💕
Kylie, Quido, Thanks to both for this video.. I wake up with so much angst.. I am going to check into this site.. I am a full time care giver, that coupled with covid and being isolated has proven to too much for me.. I am constantly on the verge of wanting to run away . My favorite saying used to be is "no matter where you go, there you are"... LOL! I need this better health for my soft ware.. Love to you both!
Wow! This was a wonderful topic for you to tackle as a team. Thank you for your honesty and for your willingness to share your own ways to deal with real life.
What a joy to wake up to this suprise video from you on Thursday morning! 😍 I've been struggling with my mental health and the feeling that "something is wrong" for many months now. I really want to be at that balanced place that Guido described where you got up, had your bath, meditated and felt so happy you could cry. That's what I want! To find peace and joy in the simple moments in life. 🙏 Thank you both for such a life giving video ✨
Thank you both for your fireside chat. It was truly inspirational. Your comments were positive, thoughtful and spoken with love. I felt I was sitting right there with you both. I feel so uplifted. Blessings to you Kylie and Guido. You are beautiful partners in 🥰 ❤.
Many heartfelt thank you's, to both of you. Your videos do/are a lot of community work. Even when one does not struggle at the moment, it is so inspiring and there are great reminders in there. You provide such valuable positive and strengthening resources. ❤✨🐬🙏💃🏽🍀🤗
If you cannot afford therapy and have a lot of anxiety there is a RU-vid channel called Therapy in a Nutshell that helped me. The therapist is very good at offering a variety of subjects including some physical stress reductions that you wouldn't think of. It helped me, maybe it will help others. This video is very good with both of you talking about why therapy is a good thing. You can tell making others feel good is important to you.
You are both so wonderful to share this so personal issue w all of us !Most people wouldn’t admit it !! I aplaude you extremely!! This is so important,so many of us suffer from it ,including myself and one of my daughters!! And I realize what I’ve been doing wrong all these years but it’s been so very hard to make changes but I’m trying really hard to ,because I know how it’s affecting my health and my well being and my happiness!! I don’t want to go into details,it would take me too long but u have no idea what this video has given me ,so much hope to be able to change my ways and my life and improve my mental and physical health which I know it’s extremely important to anyone!!Thank you so much Kylie and Guido ,I love you guys so much!!I can’t wait for your videos they are absolutely amazing!!
Dear Kylie and Guito, I am so happy for both of you, it is a pleasure to hear what you are thinking no matter what the subject. My only advice to those who may read this is your first and primary relationship should be with yourself. If you dont already love who you are, let go of all that keeps you from loving yourself. In letting go all of the old storied you tell yourself, one can make room for new and beautiful stories. Once you are experiencing your true authentic self all else falls into place beautifully. As an example look at Guito and Kylie. Life is an amazing and beautiful experience with all possible experiences, highs and lows. All these experiences help us to grow more deeply in love. .
Thank you so much Kylie and Guido 💗 It is wonderful that therapy is now more affordable. If you’ve had a joyous moment in your day, you’re living well 💗
Today is Suicide prevention awareness day. It is important to maintain good mental health because without it, we are in peril. I am an advocate for mental health and in therapy. I look at it as maintaining my well-being because I love myself and I want to be the best version of myself. I agree that the better we are, the more we can love others in better ways. My goal is to be the most kind, caring, and loving person to myself and others. The serenity that comes with this exchange is everything to me. It is the most important thing to me. To never hurt someone intentionally, to be a good listener, not judge or condemn, to remain open, honest, and a person of your word…these are the things that matter most to me. Love is my favorite word. Love is why we’re here❤️Thank you Kylie and Guido❤️❤️
I am going to Counseling right now. I went today my Counselor is wonderful she is a great support. My husband and I lost our son July 2021 from the Coronavirus he was 36 years old. He was living with us all these years. Everything reminds us of him. He worked at home. People from all over the world knew him they contacted us and let us know what he did for them and there family and we never knew about our Amazing son doing this. He was a good son . I am so happy to se that the both of you are talking about getting help and talk with someone and there is nothing wrong with this.
Totally agree that your relationship with God doesn’t exclude therapy, my background also didn’t stimulate going to a therapist but I’m glad I did. The moment I went to a therapist God gave me meaningful dreams and that completed each other perfectly
Good for you Guido! It’s a virtue to humble yourself by having an open mind that you don’t have all the answers. Especially being a man. You’re a good example for other men. Some men see going to a therapist as a weakness, but it’s actually a great strength to get assistance when needed. You have good insight.
Guido’s metaphor was perfect for me! So helpful as I continue the journey to dismantle and possibly attempt to rebuild my religious/spiritual foundation.
Wow, Guido and you are BOTH so shiny and sparkly as you have your tea and wine! Those are the words he used to describe you when he told how he fell in love with you! ♥You both are so grounded as well. Thank you again for another video!
Your love for each other just made me cry because it shines through the screen like the purest form of love. It is so beautiful and I am so happy for you Kylie that you found your soulmate. Thank you for always being there for me when I need it the most, you give me hope and strengthen my faith. 💕
You two are so beautiful. I love watching your videos Kylie 😆👏🏻🎉 Moving to Tuscany late next year… 2022! Your videos are so fun, inspirational and helpful to me! Thank you! Viva la Italy 🇭🇷❤️☕️ Xo. Judith Carr - Las Vegas, NV
Thank you so much for the all the good advice. I thank God . I never get depressed. Only sad at time because I started to think off my husband and my daughter who pass away. But it don't last long. I get busy with housework and go out for long walk. Put music on. Before I know no more sad Kylie you and Guido make such a beautiful couple. I LOVE you both. The food look so good. Bon apetito. I LOVE the part When he kiss you and you kiss him. Never loose that touch Can't wait for Friday Your videos are always so nice It's like I am there with u guys. From one off your friends the 77years old lady from Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦❤❤
What a very thoughtful idea for you to present this now, in these horrid, turbulent, times! It's like a breath of fresh air! You both are an amazing couple! Congratulations!!! ♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹
Thank you both! I wish my partner and I were open to addressing our reasons we react, separately and together. 💓💓 it’s not because we’re both Italian even though people say that Italians are “passionate “. Guido and you, Kylie are examples of partners learning to be open to exploring possibilities into the heart and mind. Be kind, and don’t explode. I’ve gotten therapy on my own, but I hope we both can come to the couch with coping and communication skills. 💕
I think contentment is a more realistic word than happiness. Nobody should feel any shame about mental health because it's something that could affect any of us. And if we are honest everyone has been through some form of mental health issues. The first step and what makes a world of difference is your diet. Foods containing magnesium, choline, omega 3's. Green vegetables Fish Raw nuts Eggs Fruits & vegetables This makes a great start to feeling good from with in. Also having the company of other people and talking is good therapy. Listening to music, walking, or an activity that you enjoy. And stop comparing, no one is perfect or has the perfect life. Learn to love yourself for all your qualities and imperfections. And if someone is treating you badly or upsetting you, tell them to stop.x 😊
Such a timely video when most of us need therapy with all of the uncertainty we are experiencing lately - so nice also to see Guido's participation and comments - he is so right about everthing he said - and so nice to see this side of him - thank you both for this one!!
A very well explained video. I think that most people have had some kind of trauma in their life it really is about how you deal with it. Thank you for sharing
Ultimately, it is about love, isn’t it? As you and Guido both shared, working on yourself, treasuring yourself, loving yourself helps you to also be more loving towards others. To do no harm in relationships, but to be a present, vulnerable human in this life. Your vulnerability in sharing your journeys is such a gift to the RU-vid community. Thank you 🙏🏻💕❤️
Thank you for your generosity and kindness. For some people the shame of fear keeps them from growing. People who reach out and are honest about their mental health struggles (big or small) help change the narrative of mental health and mental illness.
Hello Kylie, this was just the video I needed to watch. Sometimes I think most of us forget to take care of our mental health when we have so many things to take care of that we consider to be more important. Thank you for reminding me that mental health should always be a priority. As always, I'm so grateful I can come to this channel to relax and recharge with all the wonderful videos you put out. Wishing you all the best, Katarina
Thank you Kylie and Guido. I am still dealing with grief after losing my parents and an only nephew! My faith in G-d helps but I still have those days of aloness. Hope there will be more chats on this topic, Kylie. Thank you.
You know.......I really love this Guido for you. ❤️ You can truly see how much you both love each but most importantly respect each other. Sending you love to both of you!!!!!
Such authentic content, we can feel your and Guido’s hearts all around the world! And what a cute way to end ❤️ Tell Guido that coincidentally I have a little rescue doggie named Guido that is a sweet funny little boy with some wild hair (just like your Guido, ha ha!)
Dear Kylie and Guido, what a lovely and caring video. And what a wonderful midweek surprise. Thank you to both of you for your insights! Keep well and lots of love to both of you, heidi xxxxx
Kylie, your kind of videos include so much soul, joy, melancoli and beauty. You found a way to touch the soul of your viewers and everybody, who is ready and able can feel it. I always wanted this to tell you even in my not so good english ;) Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you!
Im with Guido on happiness. It should be happiness as the highest priority... real happiness is internal joy. Being joyful is a choice. If you can't be joyful by yourself then work needs to be done, it's a process
Thank you & Guido for talking about mental health. You are so right that we all seem to take care of our bodies with physical exercise & eating healthy but we forget about the most important part…our minds.
Good job Kylie, this took a lot of thought and work. I'm greatful that you took the time for this video. Life is not always easy, and sometimes it's hard to find happiness. Your life often seems joyful, but every relationship takes work. We can often control what happens with ourselves, but not with others and their choices. You need to care about yourself as much as caring about others. That isn't being selfish, it's being healthy. Good job to both of you, good communication you two.
Thank you so much for making this Kylie, this is such an important topic. I've gone to therapy many times in the past and now after travelling alone for the last 5 months, it;s something (after watching this) I will consider again, as the loneliness is sometimes just so intense. Thank you so much for your work it brings so much joy and beauty and love to me (and to SO many). And of course thank you to Guido as well!
Kylie, I love and aporeciate you guys so much. Guido talking openly about his heart and emotions and mental health is just so wonderful. Kylie thank you for shining a light on health ..Again, I love you guys. Gracie. I like the word contentment or inner calm.or joy.☺😇
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video. I agree with Guido - it is so important to attend to our software. Life can, at times, throw us curve balls we don't expect or want...curve balls that disturb our equilibrium. Therapy can help us regain that balance. Much love to you both from Perth, Western Australia.
@@franpie2264 Hi Gaia, "down south" is a beautiful part of the world. Kylie and Guido do seem to be a very special couple of people. I always look forward to Kylie's videos - she's so talented.
Very important video . Mental health is everything. Taking control of your life and finding balance Is the key for a fuller life. Thank you for sharing. So happy you two found each other.
