My mom always reminded me that no one was going to steal my dirty dishes or dust and my literary hero told me to care about lovers, not leftovers and forever I carry those with me and brings them into light whenever it seems okay to do so.

Your closet shelves are so far recessed that some wire baskets on the back of your closet door would probably be a great storage addition for you. Just a thought, we have baskets all over our rv!

The 1st video I saw was your bus build! I thought wow... no paint etc. I will follow your video ( I'm 53) if I ever get to try this life. Then I spent 2 hours watching your past videos. Life really does put us all right where we need to be!! This build.....and finish will be your best--

If you ever get the chance, try to walk the Camino in northern Spain. It was originally a pilgrimage but most people who walk it nowadays do it for non-religious reasons. You meet like-minded folk from all over the world, see amazing sights, eat unfamiliar food etc. And as well as the obvious distance you travel physically, many people consider the internal journey as equally important and meaningful. I think you'd love it.

Know that feeling well. I have been doing my "apprenticeship" in how to slow down for a few years now.

We're living haphazardly in a camper that I bought for $500 just to get out of the renting rat race. I closed my storage, and my grandparent's, and rented the lot that the camper was already on. It just seemed like a good spot to get organized and downsize. Unfortunately, I broke my foot while we were unloading the Uhaul so things have been slow. I can't wait to be free and organized. I'm thinking I may just sell this camper and get something different. I want to live smaller.

smart move on the leaving the pup behind, her bones are still growing, and you could create lifelong damage, I'm not a specialist I just happened to read an article on that same subject this morning. I'm a true believer that things happen for a reason, the friend going on the same plane, same day, same trail, that is fate, you never want to live life with regrets, you're at the best place in your life to go on these adventures, no commitments, nothing tying you down. I'm 60 years old and when I was your age these adventures were unheard of for young women so always take advantage of those paths that are place in front of you don't feel guilty just go for it. When my commitments at home are fulfilled, I too will be out there seeking my adventures.

Such an undertaking, well done. So many people consider schoolies, but are intimidated by the unknown. The main unknowns are: what does insurance cost pre-rv and post-rv status; was the process of RV certification complicated; how many miles per gallon do you get? We all wish you the best

I would actually get these cool baskets for the closet they would make if really really easy and organized. Roll them like you do but you have abasket fordirty clothes roll them too. The outside is labeled dirty this way it's still in the closet and organized. Try it. In stead of the bag. Way more stress free I thought I would hate it but I don't so works

1. The hike has long been a dream of yours. You did the bus build, the bus will be there waiting for you when you get back. _It does not matter what anyone else says about the illogical nature of taking a month long hike; it's YOUR dream, not theirs_ . The bus, just by being there when you return, will give you peace of mind. 2. About that velocity thing. I remember when the pandemic hit. It utterly shut down my life, which is being a musician and playing onstage live. Lemme tell ya, having that yanked was a psychological blow of significance. Until I figured out a way to use it. I have all my own recording gear at home, so I just dove headlong into writing and recording new music, and playing all instruments myself. It worked out so well that I'm still doing it. Most of all, I didn't have to go from that _velocity_ of playing live to the sluggish inertia of being stuck at home. I put in 10, 12, sometimes 13 hours a day recording & it's awesome. Different kind of velocity, but it's definitely not just being stagnant. I sorta think you are doing a similar thing with the hike, and because you've wanted to do that for so long, it's serving as a 'velocity maintenance' thing. That bus build was a RUSH, and coming straight down off that could feel a bit jarring, so in IMHO (🤣), you are def on the right track with the hike. I'm no therapist😱😹 but this hike thing seems healthy to me. My 10 cents worth lol.
