Been there. A breathe takingly beautiful place. Haven’t been there since the 80s. There was a wonderful little B&B close to the only restaurant there. A fabulous place to visit 😍❣️
There is a really cool 1 bedroom studio at the Mountain Laurel Inn. It has hiking trails that go right to Desoto State Falls. There is also a Dude Ranch two minutes away that offers guided horse back rides. Highly recommend.

I grow up in Henagar Al out in the pea ridge community at 22:03 I grew up on the hill on the mountain u can see in the video. all the years to this day I never took the time to look at Mentone the jewel of Mentone burned several years ago it was the old hotel or bed and breakfast I can’t remember witch
He was Cherokee. When all of the different tribes were "relocated" to Oklahoma the indians tried to make their own state. They drafted a constitution and a bill of rights. They submitted all the proper paperwork to establish their state. It was all ignored by congress. Their state was going to be Sequoyah. I see they got them fully automatic woodpeckers in Bama.
