Am I the only person here who plays this song and just wants to cry because of how beautifully powerful it is? This has to be the single best Nintendo song I've ever heard.
This song has been playing in my unconscious mind for the last 6 years! I find myself singing it aloud and not even realizing it, that's just how stuck it is!
There is that part around 1:10 that gives me goosebumps everytime. This track is the reason I completed World of Light in Ultimate to change my menu theme to this.
Yeah, Kirby is a character that has a lot of mix ups but that is about it, he can’t kill reliably, can’t combo reliably, and overall is light and not a well designed character
From all the games, Smash 4 holds a special place in my heart. I don’t have a switch, so I play Ultimate rarely. I bought my copy of Smash 4 during a voyage, via train, so it took some time for me to actually play that game. Smash 4 means a lot for me.
This is going to be one of those legacy menu song options for smash ultimate. Hard to think of this as being a previous smash after so long of playing it now, but it's about to be. damn.
@@revindevin2353 probs cuz u grew up with Brawl and Sm4sh, and the fact that those two games had things like trophies and masterpieces and stuff. I kinda wish that masterpieces was added back in Ultimate.
I know this has only been out 4 years but this music gives me SO MUCH NOSTALGIA RIGHT NOW especially brawl I played brawl when I was 9-11 and played 3ds from 12 to 14 (all my games vanished into thin air) :(. Now I'm 16 and smash 5 has just been announced. I'm so happy I have a switch I can't believe I managed to afford one. I've had about 380 hours of smash on 3ds and I used to listen to (I think its called sound test, I forgot) sound test with my 3ds closed all night most night's until I was 13. I eventually got sick of the same music and stopped listening to it (but still played it til I was 14) now 2 years later this music is fricking amazing again NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD
Liam Luke same story but with melee and it was like more than 10 years ago I use to play the hell outta that game back in the day, I even had some of the tracks from melee on an mp3 (yeah, when that was thing)
@@Heira I'm 16 too and my first game console was n64 then in 2008 I started playing smash n64 then melee then christmas of 2008 I was 7 and got brawl and a wii for Christmas then ffw to 2014 I was 12 and played smash wii u then ultimate came out then the rest is history. But all in all the game that gave me the most nostalgia was melee and brawl they had so much memories with me.
Man this is so nostalgic, I would play Smash Wii U for countless hours I mean COUNTLESS hours. Out of every video game I’ve played, Smash Wii U is probably the game I spent the longest playing. This game really does mean a lot to me. I remember playing the game with my friends and family, trying to unlock every mii item, beating classic mode with every character, trying out all the modes, creating mii fighters, creating custom stages, getting so excited when I saw the DLC characters. I would look up tutorials on RU-vid on how to get them for free lol. I really do miss these times. I do have Ultimate, but something about the game doesn’t give off the same energy Wii U does. Smash Wii U is probably on my list of top 5 best games.
I 100% agree with this tbh, Lifelight (as well as the other renditions of it) got really tiring to listen to the more I heard it back when I played Ultimate a lot. But hey, disliking Lifelight eventually led me to rediscover how amazing Sm4sh’s theme is, so that’s really nice :)
HOLY SHIT THIS GAME TURNS 10 NEXT YEAR OH MY GOD I STILL REMEMBER BEING IN SHOCK THAT BRAWL WAS GOING TO TURN 10 YEARS OLD BECAUSE I WAS STILL YOUNG AND NEW TO THE CONCEPT OF TIME 😭😭😭
I remember playing this at the age of 6-7 and when I was 7 I had a HUGE obsession with it. Now I am 13 playing Smash Bros Ultimate on the Switch. Man I wish I could go back to the times I used to have a Wii U, they give me back so much nostalgic and sentimental memories.
Looking back, now it feels like these previous entries shouldn't exist anymore, since "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" can be played at home (Wii U) or on-the-go (3DS).
When I first played Smash 4 Demo on 3DS, I fell in love. I had no idea Smash Bros existed until that point. It was a perfect game. Unfortunately it is the only game I got for 3DS, my mother said I was too old to play videogames so all I had was this beautiful game. I think I got almost 600 hours in it. Now days whenever I think of any of those games I wanted to play but never got the chance, I get so mad. I tried to play some of them now that I have a job and have moved out of parents house, but they just don't click. I waited too long. I lost almost all interest and It makes me sad. I'll never get to fall in love with the Fire Emblem games (please don't give me shit about that lol), Mario & Luigi games, anything really. Seriously. I had 2 games for 3DS. Mario Party, which came packaged with the Game System and Smash Bros. Which I had to buy myself, Idk how I afforded it. My mom didnt let me play many Videogames as a kid, even though they were one of my few escapes. I didnt have many friends at school, and the few I did have moved away or turned their backs on me. Sorry about this rant, I'm just trying to say that this game was a good friend to me when I had none. I love this theme.
2014, when i convinced my parents to get me a dark pit amiibo just because he looked cool and then spamming side b in smash run, still got it and i still play him now :)
I'm not a fan of spirit mode in Ultimate but I have been playing it so I can complete and change the main menu music to this. Edit (5 days later): I finished spirit mode and it was worth it.
While I prefer Ultimate overall, I’ll always be nostalgic for Sm4sh being the Smash that came out during the last year of middle school and all of high school. Many late sleep over nights were spent playing Sm4sh on the Wii U with friends
2020 and I’m still listening to this and it still feels like nostalgia too me..... reminds me of playing brawl idk why, Brawl came out when I was 5 and I was begging my mom for it but I was rated T so she didn’t want me having it.... in 6 and Xmas comes along and my mom surprised me for it, I was so happy I played it right away, then Lucas came along and I loved his play style so I Mained him.... then Ssb4 came out when I was 11 and I was so happy but when I saw Lucas wasn’t there I got upset... ofc I still played the game.... then...... a direct was live and I watched it and when I saw Ness getting beaten up by a lot of characters I immediately knew my boi Lucas was coming and he did I WAS SO FRICKING HAPPY I STARTED JUMPING LIKE CRAZY... so I bought him right away when he came out..... I am now 16 (I’m writing this on April 21st 2020 and my bday is April 26th so I’ll be 17) and ssbu was announced when I was 15 and I got excited and I saw Lucas again.... I got so fucking happy... no one will ever replace Lucas I just love his play style too much 😂😂 time flies everyone, enjoy it while u can

It’s been a few months since ultimates release, almost a year, haven’t played 4 since it’s release, it made me realize how good this was, since I used to hear it all the time
I remember going to a friend's birthday party a few years ago, and they rented a game truck. And this was the first thing I heard walking into the truck. *I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT*
