I find the lane change system is very easy to operate. You have to lightly move up or down and release it .Indicator will flash three times and stop.(only have to try a couple of times and you have the knack).For turns, be a bit more forceful and 360 camera will turn on. I think you have the settings for the display screen set to night mode, that's why so dark, Screens can be also be set to day or auto mode. Lane assist is only designed for Motorways as per manual. In NZ Lane Assist defaults to OFF when car started. FYI price of Ora in NZ (Not called a Funky Cat) is $42.000 dollars after govt EV rebate which equals to about 21.000 pounds. Same spec as UK but we don't have in built Sat Nav as yet only Apple Car play. Andriod Auto still to be rolled out. .Good value here and better selection of colours and trims. Cheers Rob

Personally I found the indicators worked fine for me, and now you mention it yes I did have the nav screen set to dark mode as per personal preference (in real life you can see it fine, it just didn’t show up that well on camera). Interesting about specs on offer in other territories too, we only get the first edition here in the UK but I do expect cheaper variants to be rolled out in future.
Speaking about tyres...all ev cars wheb the road is wet skid if in a high power mode, my 500e has continental and they do it all the time. Preview has Michelin and they also did. Its learning to not put too much power down wheb setting off on wet roads...took me a while
And in China it sells for about 13K less. For less than the UK price you get a longer range battery and faster charging. UK GOV taxes distort everything sadly.
Hey have you had issues where lane keep assist still kicks in evenn though turned off? Also do you constantly get alerts for when it thinks you are not looking at the road as a video i saw he was getting alert noises every few seconds and said on back roads even though its off that the car still tried to steer and often into cars He turned all all settings off and they were still on I want one on lease but i habe anxiety and tbh if it tries to steer when its turned off I will think i am losing control of the car and oversteer or something
My experience on country roads wasn’t quite as bad as the Jonny Smith review I think you’re referring to. It’s a really good car overall and I would recommend it, I would expect you will get used to the quirks quickly enough and some of the features are genuinely useful and potentially life saving

The lane change assist only does this when you have the car in cruise control, you shouldn’t be driving any car along normal roads in cruise control so this part of the review is really misleading and inaccurate. The bings and bongs that are not core safety features CAN be turned off permanently.
