I have filmed a couple of Mercedes-Benz 190E 16V EVO II on the Nürburgring, the competitor for the BMW M3 Sport Evolution. Only 502 units of the Evolution model were produced. As mentioned 500 were made in "blauschwarz" blue/black metallic. But the last two, numbers 501 and 502 were made in astral silver.
Performance Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5 16V EVO II:
Engine: 2.5L 16V 4-Cylinder.
235HP & 245 Nm.
0-100km/h: 7.1 seconds.
Top Speed: 250km/h or 155mph.

These are so nice to drive! I tested an Evo II, and had the 2,5 16v evo I myself for a couple of years. I'm over 30 now, and this is still the most fun car to drive on a day-to-day basis. You can really push it and it is so light that you won't get into serious trouble anytime soon.

Wow, the tiny side windows on that AMG make the view out of a new Camaro or the Chrysler 300 look expansive and bright in comparison. Tiny little bunker they call a "cabin" with little firing slits to look out of, like driving a pillbox around the track.

There is no better sound than an E30 M30 or AMG Evo II. But this video captured from the wrong spot. The very special in these N/A cars is the sound of the airbox. Like the roar of the most horrifying beast of our nightmare! How great those cars were?

Yes RB26 more vtec or "Einzeldrossel" than "Flachschieber", dont know if this is an original from the 502 Evo II, have a little my doubts, but : the engines from MB and BMW from this time (2.3 or 2.5 L 16s) have really impressive sound

A3L2A3N Let me refraise my statement. The e30 m3 was actually the first to come out with the evo 2. Mercedes needed a evo 2 to stay in the championship series

Not necessarily! This is more than likely modified 2.5-16 Cossie that has been sprayed/stickered in the Sonax racing colours - this would probably sell for around the same price as an entry-level BMW today. (An original DTM spec car would be priceless though)

dzitiatri sorry, im a fanboy of the w201, i cant help myself sometimes, but pretty much every 4 cylinder engine has a similar sound, but i do prefer honda's engines sounds, with that vtec scream, i adore it, but the m102 is not too shabby either

i have w201 1992 1.8 i swap m104 3.2 on it and manual gear box from w210 6 speed from kompressor i race with modern car like c350 and genesis v8 v6 and bmw 535 and 540 and i passing it esily and always i win in all races with it its best car for me

No, it sounds like a 4 cylinder. Because that's what it is. Not every car sounds like a 5.7L V8, and 4 cylinder =/= Japanese, let alone "Honda" (although Honda does make some of he very best 4 cylinder engines out there).

I'm curious how all you people think a car can "sound like a Honda". Is it just that in you ignorance you assume that anything that sounds like a 4 cylinder "sounds like a Honda", because you consider that the exemplar of the entire genre of "loud cars with 4 cylinder engines"?? That you think that the world is divided into good cars and "Hondas", and anything that sounds like it doesn't have a V8 or a 6 cylinder therefore is no good and must be "insulted" by comparing it to a Honda (whom, of course, everyone knows are totally laughable cars for people who don't know what a _real_ car is, right?)
