You are the ONLY one who explains that Pin 6:18 🙏 didn't know where it fell from. Figured it was already on the ground when I started. After reassemble, had no Park, Reverse or Gears.. but I kept that Pin... Now I know Why 😂 Tomorrow Morning will fix that in less than 30 minutes and be on my Way ☮️ THANK YOU SIR

Subscribed! I have a CLS55 AMG that slips and bangs into gear when more gas is applied. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. I want to tear this down and know what to look for. I have a feeling it's much more than the conductor plate. If I drive very mild, the transmission is normal and does NOT slip. I can't drive mild though. I can't wait to watch this entire series to tear into my transmission and find out what I should be looking for. Any idea?

For those of you out there that see this comment, I posted a long video on how to remove the W124 dash and how to replace the vacuum actuator pods for the climate control. Just trying to spread the word. Note that there are only 2 PN's left of the 6 PN's that are available from Mercedes or aftermarket. On the dual diaphgram pods you can buy one of the two pods that are available, remove their arms (white plastic just snaps it on), and you can take off the old arm from the old pod and transfer it to the new pod. NOTE: This trick only works on the dual diaphgram pods. Last resort you can get just the rubber diaphgram inside the pod that you can replace at a place called Performance Analysis in Tennessee, although you can't order on their website. You have to call them. Their part numbers for the two different diaphgrams are 2010 and 2020. On the W124 and W126, you can use one of their diaphgrams on the "center" pod, which is a single diaphragm. They are inexpensive, not sure how long they will be in business from the conversation I had with them. . Hey buddy very nice video. I changed my PLIL because it was leaking. I put the new one in and now the car is not coming out of parking, and I'm afraid to turn the car on. What do you think i could have done wrong?

questioning3 it's that small black plastic that connects to the bouden cable which is a common leak. Basically it does let the transmission get out of Parking.

hola amigo. lm jhonny mecanico from dominican republic. l have a mercedes e320 2002 with this same transmission. esta dando golpes en la segunda velocidad shift 2. y resbala o patina de segunda a tercera. es como si huviera una fuga de pression por alguna valvula en la caja de balbula. a veces se pone neutral. que me recomiendas? si as tenido este tipo de averias?

what was wrong with it i have a 722.6 trans on a 98 mercedes benz ml320 that goes into gear but feels like its in neutral i took off the trans line that connects to tje radiator and am not getting any fluid going through it any ideas would be appreciated

Hi. I have an '03 C230 Kompressor with this trans, and I'm at 205k miles. The car shifts okay for 1 or 2 minutes, but as soon as it just begins to warm up, it starts slipping and not pulling. The fluid is very dirty, and I knew this when I bought the car a week ago. My question is how hard is it to get the transmission out of the car? I suspect I am better off spending $250. or $300. for a much lower mileage transmission, and just swap them. Thanks.

Jon Randall nothing is hard, just some things are more time consuming than others. Every removal of a transmission have or start with the basic steps. It is best that you find a video that will take you step by step on the procedure. I do not have one. However, if bolts and nuts are rusted, you may need torches.

Hay did u ever use the valve body bore kit I see them online for like 150 not sure what it dose iv bin trying to figure out what's wrong with my nag in my charger for months to fix a bad shudder the dealership wants thousands to just replace everything but doesn't know what wrong

JT 1200 I do use sonnax kits, on other transmissions. However, I have not used them on this unit. When I build this unit, I buy a remanufactured valve body from reman valve bodies in Michigan. Talk to Cory or Eric. They can tell what wears and have issues in the valve body.

Hello, I have 1999 clk 320. transmission fluid ran low and just before I got to the driveway I heard a grinding sound. I removed the pan and found needle bearings at the bottom of the pan so I knew it wasn't good and at least one of the bearings exploded. Anyways I will watch your series of the 722.6 transmission rebuild. I am a bit hesitant of buying a used transmission and may just rebuild the original one. I'm sure I'll have questions along the way. Do you have an email and where are you located, I'm from Cali. Thank you.

Hello, can I ask a question... I have something like bad baring sound in transmission that is following motor RPM, it is not too loud, especially when it is warm and when in N or P it almost goes away...do you know what element could it be and is it risky to continue without service, I just bought this car and in few days I will check and do a fluid change, I think the level might be a bit low, should I flush it? Thank you

I have not encountered this problem with this transmission yet. Therefore, I cannot give you a definitive answer. However, if someone came into the shop with this problem, i would look to take the transmission out and search for a bad bearing somewhere.

thank you for the answer...I will drop the pen and check the oil these days...could the torque converter be out of balance, or some barring worn out, positioned after the engine and before the transmission gearing? I can hear that sound better when sitting on driver side than on passenger side, and when I am out it is best heard while leaning over the front left wheel, it is a waving sound and heard best in low RPM. I must change the engine mounts too, I already changed transmission mount and old one had some cracks but that changed nothing. I must say transmission is shifting smooth, when cold i can feel a lighter pushes forward while shifting in 1,2 and 3 gear, especially from 2 to 3. Maybe I should mention that engine is diesel. I must tell you that I really appreciate your work, your approach is great in every way, thank you!!!

Hi. I would check the shift assembly, 13 pin connector before changing the conductor plate. These cars are tricky and can signal those codes. Just my opinion, no mechanic here.

Same here. Noise when on P and N. "Rotation" noise when cold on 1st gear increased by RPM's.

Hello, I have a question. My car is 1998 W202 C180 automatic transmission. When I start to drive the car the first and second gears don't change quickly. I should wait long for the changing of gears. After changing the gears it gets normal. I changed the oil because of it but the problem with gears weren't solved. What problem could it be?

questioning3 hi I have a Chrysler nag1 722.6 out of a 5.7 Hemi I wanted to ask you a question so yesterday the trans started to while and had some shutter taking off from a green light a mile down the road it gave out had a loud whine and wouldn’t move in any gear that it is in when it’s cold it still whines but it will move a bit in gear what can this be? Is the tranny shot? It’s a constant whine when you rev it no matter what you do cold it will go into gear then it will stop and just slowly rev up and whine won’t move can you help me with some info on what would cause this? Will the trans need rebuilding or can it be a tq converter?

S gill I am going to give you my honest answer. I don't know what the problem is. I had this same problem about a year ago. We took the transmission out three times. We put a new torque converter, I examined the valve body, it only had 88 thousand miles. The customer was racing it. But, only one set of clutches would burn and it did like you descibed, a whining then no movement. Never found the problem! We put a good used transmission in it and delivered the car. Wish I could have found the problem but we did not have time to keep taking it out. It was somewhere in the transmission though. It was not the torque converter.

questioning3 yes ok this was a used trans I had in for about 7 months the seller a wrecking yard told me it only had 80k km and a month later I told the guy it was shifting kinda hard and when In second gear it would seem like that gear had two gears I found that weird, meaning it would go into second then rom would go up and come back down like it shifted gears again if that makes any sense to you. The first trans went the same way started to whine and blah blah, I had a mopar tcm installed in the car as well that locks the tq converter in earlier I don’t know what else to really say about it I’m hoping it could be a easy fix I have my old trans in my garage as well and I purchased a full mopar nag1 rebuild kit off eBay that I found on auction the guy had no interest so I offered him 100 bucks and he took it, this kit from what I have been told by Chrysler is they stop selling the kit like this and you have to buy parts separate now he said I got a really really good deal since it has everything frictions steels baskets filter orings

Hello:)Nice video!!!I have a problem whit my Nag1 Chrysler 300c CRDWhen drive car 3 gear and speed =40km/h before falling second gear 2,drive whit very little gas she have a noise same like rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and little vibration down-if put the gas and car goo 2 gear-no noise,if push the gas same no noise.Can you help me whit some explanation?Thanks for the answer!:)

+Кирил Георгиев It is hard to understand what you are saying. But, lets try. First, does the vehicle have a check engine light one? Did you have it scan for codes in the computer? This is the first step. Next, you need to jack the car up and take down the transmission pan to see if there is any metal in the pan. You have to go through some diagnostic steps here.

+questioning3 -No light for some problem is furst.Here mechanic say i can see some problem whit computer.Furst time when i changed oil have little metal buth very little.My problem for now is only 3 gear when go down speed.Here mechanic say i can see some problem if unless sockets box:(
