Hi Tonde!, mine has 2 months, 4354km total, 3475km electric, 1.8l/100km, vel. med. 44km/h. full charge=72km range, today temp +7/+17c

@Richard C Hi, really good results, that indeed shows that very low average consumption numbers can be driven in real life on long run. Coming winter time will be interesting to see how outside -1...-20c temperature will affect on electric range. Now on these late autumn +5...+10c temp electric range is some 62km.

Hi, i have my 250e for 3 weeks now. Im a bit disapointed because here in northern Portugal there are a lot of mountains, and the very best i achieved was 61kms with a very cautious drive!

Hi, I read one i-pace article that regen efficiency in practise is near 5% only. See thread: www.i-paceforum.com/threads/regen-efficiency-on-downhill-vs-energy-used-for-uphill.2537/ That will explain also why A250e won’t benefit mountain type driving profile.

@@rellinoBh On summer time I get ~ 15-16kWh/100km average consumption and on winter about 20-25kwh/100km average consumption. My overall 2,5year average consumption is now 16,0kWh/100km. And 0,1L/100km petrol. So in practise all my driving is full electric.
@Tonde
@Tonde Год назад
@@rellinoBh WLTP electric consumption is 15,0kWh/100km, which seems to correspond quite well to my 2,5year experience (16,0kWh/100km all time). I once tried full electric hypermiling on summer time and was able to get 10,5kWh/100km avg electric consumption. Also on summer I get 80km range, see last summer charge test video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YBXCLCVUfXY.html

Did your electric range increase slightly from new? I had mine delivered last week and electric range is only 33mi
@Tonde
@Tonde 4 года назад
@tomaddy525 Yes, after some weeks from new, car learns driving habits and electric range increases. Your current 33miles = 53km will increase, but now on late autumn outside temp (+5c) will affect on electric range. I just recharged 7,4kW rate from empty to 100% and it says 60km (37,3miles). So it’s -10km (-6,2miles) decrease compared to summer time (70km=43,5miles). Also electric consumption has incresed from summer 15kWh/100km ->20kWh/100km even daily driving route is same. Cabin heating will eat a lot of energy (have not yet started preheating). Preheating plug-in is important factor on saving battery for actual driving.
@alexanderdroste9311
@alexanderdroste9311 4 года назад
When the road is wet the consumption becomes higher, too.
@Tonde
@Tonde 4 года назад
@Alexander Droste Yes, weather conditions will affect on consumption too, outside temperature, wind speed, rain. To be able to evaluate only speed factor would need two test runs on same weather conditions: 80km/h and 120km/h tests in a row so that weather factor would be avoided when comparing results.

*Still good 51KM and then a nice little 1332 cc Petrol [EU10] engine kicks in - no problems - but hold on at Extra Cost for A250e have worked out only **_even stevens_** at around 60k Miles [96 KLM] ! - at that rate you will only save ½ the Planet !*
@Tonde
@Tonde 3 года назад
Yes it’s not easy to do a choice when costs are taken in the calculation. So far my average overall consumption is 0,2L/100km and 16,0kWh/100km after 1,5year usage (7237km driven), but I have driving profile which is favourable for short distance trips.

Are there any performance issues when the battery is depleted, i.e., when you're running on internal combustion engine? Does it get less powerful, or does it compensate the electric motor with the fuel engine? What happens when you slam the gas on a depleted battery?
@Tonde
@Tonde 3 года назад
Hi, I actually tested 0-100km/h acceleration with empty battery (0km range left) and it seems there is no performance penalty. A250e keeps always some electric reserve (1-2%) and is able to give always electric boost in acceleration even electric drive mode itsel is deactive. Here is the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hzqBo_9gFYw.html

Tonde, have you tested the fuel consumption only in petrol engine? What can we expect? I'd say 5.0 to 6.0 L/100km?
@Tonde
@Tonde 4 года назад
@Bruno Rodrigues I still have managed to drive full electric, so not yet driven/tested petrol consumption in a long trip. But what I have read from car magazine tests, it goes ~5L/100km in long trips in hybrid mode without charging which is quite promising result.

Im between the a200d and the a250e... Damn...
@Tonde
@Tonde 4 года назад
@@BrunoRodrigues-cl5vl Yes, it’s not a easy choise. If your daily trip is max 60-70km, then you can drive almost all with full electric. If you can charge car at home or at destination once a day, then A250e should work fine. For longer distance trips also optional DC fast charger (about ~700€) could be a solution or then just driving hybrid mode.

Hi there, I would like to know, did you have A/C or any kind of heating was turned on during the test?
@Tonde

Hi, just normal +20,5C inside temp with auto clima mode, but I have A/C button always off (I keep A/C button always off unless it’s really hot and needed, like 1-2weeks a year on July in Finland 😄)

The a250e has a 15.6kWh battery pack, right ? I don't understand how you could only drive 51km while averaging 20,6kWh/100km. Shouldn't you have been able to drive up to 75km ? Or is the car disabling "Electric-only" drive when less than 5kWh remains ?
@Tonde
@Tonde 4 года назад
@omLuan Yea, reason is that the batterie has 15.6kWh brutto capacity and Netto 10.7kWh for use.

@@afernanfer Haven’t yet noticed after 1 year usage or atleast very difficult to say, now we have spring time coming after very cold winter -15...-20C here in Finland, so it will be interesting to see how range will increase back again to some 65...70km. I’m now getting estimated range 57km outside temp +2..+5C. I could do another test when ouside temp goes to some +15...+20c.
