I'm driving the 2540LS MP2 2012 model.. It's the highest truck driving position in my 30+yrs trucking experience. Spacious cab and for me it was a very good lookin truck on Malaysian road. As an ageing yet powerfull the dashboard and those big door is making a lot of vibrations and noise but I can live with it because i just love it. Note back here its called King Actros.
I drive one of those now and then. Some cabin design flaws: The dashboard is full of switches you hardly ever use, and the radio and tacho are high up out of reach, and the most used switches for interiour lights and roof hatch are even higher up. Scanning the radio for a good station is going to hurt your back... The bed is very narrow. (very!) It is time for truck designer to realize that truckdrivers do not like to sleep on the upper bed. But that automatic gearbox is great!
Gud video..... Very nice and feature-laden truck.......... But I wonder if the Drivers actually manage to exploit all these features......... I wonder if, at first, they can remember all of this...... and the 2nd issue is that about the reliability of these electronics..... If anything goes wrong, there is no way the driver can do small, temporary arrangements to get to the nearest workshop..... But, then, electronics still have their own advantage and I salute Mercedes for making this machine

Can I ask you that why some Actros is limited till 85 or 90 kmh when Volvo and Scania has independent speed limits? I as a truck driver feels that Mercedes is best at full speed be truck or bus since it is extremely gradual in speed and also in slope.Slight reduction in throttle will fatigue the driver's foot on accelerator pedal.
to reach the destination without any problem with the only drawback of not being able to get the maximum power but can attend the workshop without any problem either for any electrical or mechanical problem. Worst truck on the market... Uncomfortable, the "intelligent" gearbox is soo stupid and has more electrical problems than an old Iveco. Oh and uses much more fuel too. I can't say it better I just simply hate them!
