It’s long time ago when a Merc was an old man car… and is impressive how the design of the cars improve. Also prefer the shooting brake instead the normal CLA
1. "in the front, blondie" 😃 2. "Hey, Mercedes" ... silence. Much below blondie AI level 🤪 That's not the first MB voice recognition + AI failed. Once requested with "I'm hungry" it answered something like "Great, that you're having a nice day" Period. Silence.
About that intro of yours... Regarding the "touchy subject" of a person's years... All I'll say is this. Anna is like a bottle of fine wine. She just gets better with age. Wonderful car review as always.
Welcome to the list Rick ;-) well, surely they must like the cars a little bit as there are so many more young, prettier, wearing skimpier attire women out there. So why watch me. Oh well, I welcome anyone who is nice and polite :-)
@@AnnaOnRoads Oh come on Anna! I cant think of any better looking car reviewers on youtube than you! Although that Joe Achilles is pretty buff 😄 I doubt he looks as good as you in a bikini though!
It’s a beautiful wagon 😍. Much better looking than the ugly potato shape of the GLA, and better handling to carve corners. This is the kind of family car I’d get over SUV’s. But I’m only 29, so much younger than the average demographic.
@@AnnaOnRoads I agree. The GLA's proportions just don't look right to my eyes. The GLC, GLE, and GLS look like normal SUV's, but the GLA is quite ugly due to the mismatch between height and short wheelbase.
Bought a new a class and traded it it after 4 months, hey mercedes never worked and the nav system couldnt even find my house. Too much tech, not enough car.
What, such great seats, especially when miss Anna seats in it..... 😀 😉 😛👌🆒📷😍🙌🙋...i love car reviews from you Anna!! When the day was stressed, i look for an refreshing Auto car review from Anna on Roads.... 😊well done!!! Greetings from Hrvatska!
Nice car for shopping, shame about the colour. Shootingbrakes were used by english gentry to carry people out shooting game etc. Quaint custom still goes on in uk. Still prefer my golf tdi dsg. xxx.
They are great cars the Germans Love their technology they pack their cars with it .I have owned Mercedes in the past it’s best to lease those cars.anna has to do a video on the landscape beautiful area The swiss tourism board should be paying her.
Anna, this one is so stylish, but.....I am old, but not old enough for a Mercedes. The 4 cylinder engine seems to be finding it's way increasingly into the premium brands. So, would it be this or the new BMW 3 series Touring with a straight six engine, I guess it's how much you are willing to pay.
Thank you Steve ❤️ haha, I like to tease the brands with all these stereotypes, they probably love it a little less. Oh yes, sadly, this change is coming, if I could spec these cars, it would always be 6 or 5. for daily drivers, but the EU is just a joke, look what they are doing.
This "ole" man recently bought the discontinued Buick TourX version of your beautifully styled Merc. I love the look and coming from muscle cars just wished it had a GNX version...LOL! More power thank you mam!
Clearly the Classe A has made other interiors look old, very quickly. Which is quite a feat considering that, as you rightfully said, Merc used to be "for old people". I recently test drove an A45 AMG, this thing fliiies ! :) Nice vidéo Anna! Thank you....
I prefer the 35 AMG Coupé version, I'm sure you too Anna. If you come to Brive, France, I will make you try mine for a new review on other beautiful roads...
:) it's still a subcompact car that doesn't deserve that amount of money and I'm sorry to say but it cannot rival the interior space of a full-size car for example the Camry (which is 3-4 times cheaper)
When a driving experience includes such a car beauty, hi tech and such more than simply good engine, then...even an older person can easily forget ages and enjoy the more space of this car!!! Thank you for sharing one more lovely video, best Sunday wishes!!!
Anna testing out the new mbux system in the CLA 250. Anna; "Hey Mercedes. I'm feeling horney!" CLA 250 is silent for 5 seconds. Then it shuts down it's electrics with a soft "groan" and then starts to fall to pieces and melt into the tarmac :-))... Anna 1 - 0 Mercedes Benz CLA250
Christmas continues to come early with more frequent Girl On Swiss Roads (yes, I'm calling it that because it's a great title.) Anna's reviews are a guilty pleasure! I really like the look of the Shooting Brake. Unfortunately they are not available in the States. Good thing for me, given that I keep cars for over 5 years, and Mercedes-Benz USA vehicles are nightmare money pits out of warranty.
Hi Anna! Fun to watch new video from you. I like you that this Mercedes is nice and extra interior, except for the black interior .. Thanks for your professional video ..
the plus side of age obviously didn't affect you at all 🤷🏻♂️ i'm really looking forward to go for the amg version myself once the price is dropping a little on a ~2-3 old car. seems like mercedes finally go rid of the grandpa style cars 👍🏻
Each time I watch one of your videos, I think how is Anna going to top this review and somehow each one is better than the last. Really looking forward to your next review.
@@AnnaOnRoads Cheers! What a quick response. :) This colour is gorgeous! I was wondering between Night Black and Cosmos Black but this tips the scale for Cosmos Black's favour.
That car fits you really good but I prefer you in the new A 45. I like when you press the accelerator cos I can see your lovely smile and how you enjoy that part of the test!!! Have a good day! Hugs.
the engine of the new cla e250 is from renault dacia. the same as the hybrid system, and that is not a positive thing, etc but the opposite and you also buy and pay for a mercedes benz and you get a renault ,, at a premium price , the cla 250 gasoline engine if it is authentic mercedes benz, I do not like that stupid fashion to save costs and quality of suppressing the front fog lamps by false cheap plastic air intakes and holes that are absolutely useless, better some precious Front fog lights and some daytime running led lights on the front skirt that have huge grille holes and ugly plastics etc and the same thing happens with the new Audi models and other premium brands. Very expensive and little standard equipment and also they are almost all the same photocopies With designers without character or personality, they should learn from the style of manufacturers from more than 20 years ago, with a very nice line and different from everything they do now, etc ,,.
About to order a CLA shooting brake but couldn't decide between digital white, mountain grey and cosmos black. After watching this video about 10 times - cosmos black it is! Thank you.
My parents have bought the CLA shootingbrake but the biggest problem is the interior size, it's wayyy too small. Car would be very good for small guys or an average woman.
Excellent review. Vehicle is beautiful inside and out, but compared to the C-class a huge step down. Build and drive is really entry level, pricey given the lower quality. Look forward to your reviews and love the scenic background.
I’m glad someone brought this up! Most reviewers seemed to be impressed for some reason. I test drove the CLA200 and it felt cheap to drive…the handling for me was overly light and darty to my taste, and didnt find it particularly comfortable either; firm ride, gruff engine and road noise. I enjoyed the look of the interior for the first 5 mins but then later touching all the buttons and indicator stalks felt very cheap
Great review. I got to say I really do like the looks of the Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 Shooting Brake but I'm a bit weird like that because I always got a soft spot for estate cars. I wonder what the AMG variant of this car is like, Anna will you do a review on the AMG variant? I see you got a pair of rollerblades, that sent me back to the late '80s, early '90s when it was a big craze at the time. Keep up with the great work.
Thank you Jason ❤️I'd love to review the AMG version but it just wasn't available in the fleet which usually is very limited. But I will keep trying as I love all AMGs. I think AMG would give it a nice kick but the 250 doesn't lack any. Still a big car so I wouldn't expect much more superior handling but you never know! Haha, after all, I was born in the early 80s so fitting right in with the rollerblades! Happy Sunday Jason ❤️
Anna on Roads that cool. I guess it’s quite hard to get hands on some of the top range like AMG especially if there’s not many of them in the fleet like you say. I know you will get your hands on the AMG CLS Shooting Brake. Ah I was born early 80s as well in fact 82. Thanks for the reply. And you have a awesome Sunday 🙂
Mercedes engineers had to work around the clock to get their voice activation system to finally respond to Anna. Jealousy is not a good trait in an A.I.
@@AnnaOnRoads it's never boring watching your reviews, great content, beautiful Switzerland as background and you as presenter...what can one complain...😉👍
"This is the perfect car for four tall adults(...)", Sooorrryyyy but it's not! I'm 1,85m and in in order to not have a feeling (on front seat) of having my knee close to my teeth I have to pull the seat back... this makes very little leg room for an 'tall' adults in the back. Having that said I would rather suggest to make an effort and check it on your own before final decision of buying it as you may be surprised - a jump out for ski weekend with 4 tall people made us to stop 3 time on the way to Zermatt to stretch out our legs ;) But also agree that this car has very nice touch everywhere... and the screens, indeed one of the best I've ever seen!
My boyfriend has to go lower from a C250 to a CLA 200 shooting brake and really wasn’t happy until he saw the new CLA shooting brake and he’s kind of positive about it. Am hoping he doesn’t move to Audi or bmw. 🤞🏽
This title though. I am 29 and i am thinking about purchasing this car to drive around with my wife and kid plus the luggage that comes with them every time. Stylish inside-outside yet ptactical, not a typical passat variant that is a workhorse and thats all. What is old man style here?
Hi Alexandra, although it would have been nice to have more torque, this car has enough for a daily driver. You will find diesel will generally have more torque.
@@AnnaOnRoads Do you not think there's a certain point where torque becomes irrelevant unless you are pulling more weight? Of course it makes a difference in the smaller engines where the weight of the car and the passenger are straining the engine but that won't be the case in bigger engines. That's probably part fo the reason Mercedes has ignored it.
@@Eatprepd I think there has to be a healthy balance here and car's weight is one of many other factors which influence how the car actually drives. Mercedes hasn't ignored it, they are a business that makes a lot of money (their worth is 2nd after Toyota) and they often make decisions that don't necessarily make sense to those who appreciate and understand cars but they certainly make sense to the stakeholders. Cars still sell, often simply because most people overlook this element. If Mercedes can take advantage of it, oh well, why not. Each to their own.
