It says it can’t lower the roof even using the interior button. Something about making sure something is pulled out in the trunk??

There's a "partition" in the top/ceiling of the trunk that must be pulled back down to make room for the top to fold into. Unfortunately, it is not automatic. This partition can be pushed up (with the top up) to make a lot more space in the trunk when needed, but it must be manually pulled back down for the top to retract. You have to reach up in the middle of the top of the trunk and grasp the partition and then pull it down and towards you until it locks into position. Then just push it firmly when you want to make more trunk room.
