Merkley and Partners (the marketing firm who made this and, several other MB ad's) are geniuses and really instill love and passion towards a Mercedes-Benz *runs out and hugs my 83 240D*
Totally agree. I daily drive a 1977 450SE here in Australia and like the vet in Africa my S-Class never endures. I replace parts and service the car regularly and it just keeps going. As strange as this sounds, I do feel a connection with the car that I've never had with any other brand of car before. ❤ Mercedes-Benz forever!!
This is literal proof that the Mercedes Benz is the real article. Nothing holds back any other auto makers as you said from making videos for their cars, save for hmm lets see, durability, build quality, and longevity.
I love Mercedes-Benz, and my unfortunately former 450SEL 6.9. But I think that this kind of faithfulness to a car can apply to the owner and car no matter what vehicle. A beautifully created piece by Mercedes-Benz. Made me wanna cry.
Well my first car was my late father's Mercedes-Benz W123 for the past 32 years that car never broked down and has still continued to serve me by far in my honest opinion Mercedes-Benz always will be the best car makers in the world! From Russia with love and respects to the Mercedes-Benz brand! 😍😍😍
My first car, 92' 300D 2.5 Turbo has introduced me into the love of Mercedes, so much love that I decided to buy a 1958 180D. At the age of 18 money is tight and I don't mind because these Mercedes put a smile on my face.
Yo compre mi mercedes w126 cuando cumpli 29 y desde entonces ha estado cuidado y guardado en mi garage en Espana. Ahora tengo 52 y sigue dandome satisfaciones siendo un clasico. El mejor automovil que he tenido.
BMW won't be the best for ever!!! BMW can't make cars like the Mercedes! BMW cars have only the technology, BUT the Mercedes have an engine, a body and an interior and, all of the things are OUTSTANDING!!! Mercedes-Benz was and will be the best for ever!!!! i've got and SLK from 1998 and it is AWESOME!! Best cars, Best brand!!!!
I've owned a W123 & now have a W124 E280. A mate of mine decided he wanted a Benz & I warned him that once he owned one he would & could never be happy driving anything else. He's had it a couple of years now & now knows exactly what I meant...
Love my old Toyota Land Cruiser. I love old Mercedes Benz cars too. One of my friends has a 1969 250S. What a beautiful car. 4 spd, 2.5L straight 6, dual carburetors. The doors shut & close like a bank vault. Very solid car. We went for a drive. It's so smooth running & driving, no rattles for being 43 years old. I'm quite impressed. The German's have a long history of over-engineering everything. I quess I'll have to buy me a 240D with 4 spd manual. :)
If you buy one or own a Mercedes already, this commercial needs no further explanation. I have owned my Benz for a mere 7 months, and I can no longer fathom owning any other brand of car, much less do I expect I'd need another car soon as my Benz is 'faithful' just like the cars of the ad are to their owners.
Steve, Unfortunately, you are correct. This would be lost entirely on the "American Idol" or "Change - for change sake" mob. I have a 1987 300D turbo, 230,000 miles, original engine and transmission, my own stupidity is the only damage it suffered but the body work is 99% done and provided I can find the patron saint of machinery, she will see another 200,000. I also realized not long ago, that car has has used more fuel value than it's original sticker cost.
Its a diesel, you will easily see 400,000 miles. A cab driver in Greece put 2.8 Million miles on his '76 240D which is the world record top mileage for any car out there. A coworker at my last job has a '78 240D with 280,000 miles on the car, so it can be done.
Not at all, I mean like when they built my '92 W201 190E 2.6, one of their last cars they deliberately over-engineered. My benz is teetering on 160,000 miles now and has had no trouble outside of the matters that come up on a high mileage car. Nothing rebuilt, no overhauls, no replacing of anything major. Still drives like a champ too!
No one has the attention span to actually think of what they are about to do or are looking at nowadays, hence that prevailing car ad method of cars sliding sideways and pulsing music.
It's a great question. I would start with why Mercedes-Benz have seemed to deviate from its brand identity. I guess the reason is that the quest for shareholder value is a greater priority than satisfying the demand of loyal customers that, let's face it (and this commercial demonstrates that) would prefer to drive their 40 year old Mercedes-Benz than replace it with a new one.
Auto karma --- Get a DIESEL Mercedes Benz then, beside it, park any M model or s (sport) series BMW... Nicolaus and Rudolph will both look down on your garage, smiling in approval.
I hope you do not mean build quality of the new ones. My c-class literally fell apart after 30,000 miles. I don't know what monkeys that had assemble it.
I love the 190E too, it was a great car. Let's not kid ourselves though, having a commercial about build quality and showing the ML twice is very ironic. That car is a piece of crap. Well, any post 1995 Mercedes is a piece of crap.
I have an accident but I'm serious events S500 and I walk away from the accident when I scratch from that time on I don't buy anything else today I have three Mercedes vans why I need glass and two s-class and I'm faithful to them
