Had a Mercedes GLE two weeks ago but it is now totaled. I was going 60 mph and a car pulled out in front of me from a stop sign. Three ppl in my car… all walked out safely. Safety features saved us… a miracle

Each of the tests are used by a new vehicle not hindered by previous tests. Imagine how expensive this process is.

I imagine the insurance companies that pay for the testing are spending less on the tests than they make off insurance. They likely make bank raising rates on less safe cars and on luxury cars, and spend less on personal injury claims from accidents if cars are safer.

BUH it looks like something glued to airbag crushed the window. Measuring device or smth like that. Either way doesnt make any difference than letting people in car faster escape. I guess.

On last crash test the windshield glass broken pieces could enter the vehicle and harm the passenger. I am totally surprised I was expecting more safety from such car !!!

No! The broken pieces are thrown outside the car. It shatters outwards, and that's an extra safety feature (it absorbs as much energy as possible from the crash so the cabinet/main frame takes less damage). That's why these windshields are flexible and not completely stiff.

No point I guess. Too much seat adjustment can cause issues. The main point of airbags is to stop you from hitting the wheel and dashboard.

Because it wasn't needed. The car took the biggest hit from the left, so only the left ones deployed.

Many of those safety features are optional. Meaning, you have to pay for it. Which makes it not much different than any other car.

Они тупые в натуре . А если я сижу в машине жду человека. Я не пристегнут рядом едет машина водитель не справляется с управлением, влетает водителю в дверь. Открываются только боковые подушки. А то что по инерции тело на руль отбросит где нос сломает или плечо вывихнет. Пофиг экономим на подушках безопасности 200$ На человеке который купил на последние деньги машину за 61 000$ Да он в больнице больше потратит и скажет ваша машина говно. А так останется жив и будет благодарен вашему качеству. Колени в безопасности радует, и то что особо, дальше колесного каркаса не заходит.
