My dad bought an ML350 brand new in 2006 for my mom. It was fully loaded with every single option. 6 years ago my dad bought my mom another brand new one and my mom gave me her old one. It has been the best car I could have ever asked for. It’s got 186,000 miles now and still starts up every single day without issues. It’s very fast for an suv and great on gas compared to my 4Runner. I have taken it on many road trips and have never been disappointed. It has left me stranded waiting for a tow truck on more than one occasion but I always fix it and it never seems to be anything major, just parts breaking because they are getting old. It hasn’t been cheap to repair but for what this car has done for me, I feel like I owe it to the car to keep on taking care of it.

I suffer form a lot of PTSD, depression and anxiety which means that I often struggle to fall asleep. I find that car review videos where there's no talking and no radio playing (Just the engine and road noise) help the best. Thank you
I have an ml320 cdi. Looks great feels great and drives great when all is working properly. However, admittedly I have spent roughly 4K putting issues with it right. Replaced the main board module, Sam unit fuel tanks both of, rear boot lock and issues with oil leaks and air conditioning. Money pit yes but hopefully I’ve managed to finally plug the money leak. Car now drives and feels like new. 110k on the clock and for a 2006 car it’s an awesome drive. Lot’s of power for its size too. Lots of room and very comfortable to drive. I do love it but love can be costly!
From the interior it looks to be an older ML350. I know 2006-2010 had the same wood . This car does not have navigation through blue tooth which puts it at 2006-2007. I have a 2007 that I bought used. I’ve had it for seven years with less then 100,000 miles. I have invested maybe $2000.00on repairs. Most of my driving is on mountain roads in South Lake Tahoe with occasional trips to Portland Or. After many hours of driving, usually over 4 hours it does seem to get over heated and will not accelerate correctly until it cools down. I did read that this problem has been noted but as long as it cools there are never additional issues. I love this crossover.
I find it hilarious. My sister has a 2006 and it also has a check engine light. Interestingly my 2007 E350 with the same engine doesn't give me headaches like her ML does
Just leave one thing broken in a Mercedes and nothing else should break🤣 once you fix everything, another thing will break right after the last repair... Speaking from experience 😂
@@crayzer5839 What are you talking about. Once they fixed the balance shaft issue after 2007 the m272 is the most reliable engine Mercedes makes. My 2008 C350 jsut hit 310 000km and doesn't burn or leak a drop of oil. Still butter smooth and I have two other relatives with over 200k on theirs with no problems. These are simple v6 engine, no direct injection garabge.
@@tufanabbaszadeh5524 it can't be miles my friend. The performance of this engine doesn't much with the numbers. From 1.34-1.40 60-110 mph ?? Do you find this possible? The new M5, takes for 60-110mph 6 seconds.

@@tonin111perte man... even if it said 160km/h , you need to think a little bit ... no Mercedes limit is km/h. The minimum in a speedometer is 260km/h for a Mercedes .
Could you do a B class 180 CDI 109 bhp (sport pack) POV test Drive? I have one and i'd love to see one un your tests. Its a lovely car, you will see if you drive it hahaha
I had w164 for a while. If you want a real beast, ml500 with m113 v8 should be your choice. Mpg is not really much higher but performance is awesome. And reliability is much better than v6 m272. Don't buy cheap w164 with v6 petroleum, there is a reason for this.
You said, ML is a endless money pit...How exactly the famous M272 3.5 V6 (From which obviously you have no idea) will be more reliable in another models? The M272 (partly also the M273 V8) has a problem with the chain mechanism and the balance shaft between 2004-2007 late. Also there are defective flaps on the intake manifold. (it's ''V'' shape engine). So it's really doesn't matter if this engine is fitted in a ML, CLS, E, S class... Buy a VW Polo 1.0 1991, with man.gearbox so I'm 100% sure you will never have problems with Airmatic, 7G tronic or various electronics...
Yeah that is true, the earlier M272 engines in various Mercedes Benz classes aren´t a choice for longer ownership . I´ve got a 2008 W204 C280 4-MATIC exemplar , only a few electronical problems (ESP system and Electric steering wheel lock , which is a known issue on this C class generation) , but no mechanical problems so far. We bought it with 32,500 kilometres on the clock, now it´s nearly 80 k on the clock. The engine gets every 10 k kilometres fresh high-quality oil with all filters and warm/cold driving . Despite the fact it has some serious issues (intake manifold might be a problem with higher mileage , possibly timing chain and chain tensioner , or thermostat, but this one is easy to fix ) . In this era of cars i would go for a Lexus V6 3.5 liter engine or Infiniti V6 3.5 /3.7 litre engine, both are very reliable and mostly just need some maintenance and good driving!

No. It is an electronic shifter and when the car starts moving forward it turns off the ability to shift to reverse. You can only reverse when the car has stopped.
Let me make it boring by saying the steering wheel of the ML is also in the Sprinter from the year 2010 to 2014 And im driving it everyday it does not have much of a difference except that is faster of course.Overpriced caruzza.

М272 мотор. Страдания и боль для владельца. Его вообще лучше не крутить, так как он и в повседневном режиме цилиндры теряет на раз-два. Причем навсегда. :( В данном случае, может пока и пропуски, но на исправном таком моторе их не бывает.
Press F to pay respects! It's true m272 3.5 engine! One or two full throttle launches and you got v5 or v4 engine )))) Pain and sorrow for all it's owners. But if you don't be greedy and buy an m273 5.5 engine, then it will be a completely different car. :)
3:34 checks engine yep it's still there.... That's a camshaft balancer issue, that's an expensive fix. Required the engine to be lifted out. 2006-2008 had this issue.
