Would love to see a video of you driving it, so we can get a feel for what it's like. Really great restoration on one of the best looking vans out there. I'd much rather have something like this than a VW bus, and I love VW buses. Kinda like finding unicorns, though. You just don't see them much. Thanks for sharing this with us, and congrats!!
Very good work. I hope to achieve the same. I just bought the same one, in bad condition. Do you have the manual? If you have it, maybe it would be very good to upload it in PDF. Congratulations ... enjoy it.
Also, I noticed you used lizard skin. Did you use both sound control and ceramic insulation product? Did you spray underside of vehicle or the interior of the vehicle with the lizard skin? On a build I’m working on we sprayed the underside of the vehicle with both products.
Sal, Incredible job on restoring this MB O319. I have a question... I have a small classic car restoration shop in Stanton CA and we are currently restoring a 1965 MB O319. The bus cam with the wrong tires on the original wheels and I'm having a hard time locating some replacement tires. We are also not sure of the crrect tire size as well and I wanted to see if you could help us out by pointing us in the right direction? Thanks so much, Brian
I bought them from Cocker tires. They have all kinds of oddball stuff. I can't remember size offhand. It should be easy to look up. I'm sure you've been on the 0319 Forum there in germany. If you're still having trouble finding the size I could start searching through some old documents to see if I could find it out
@@salorlando6567 okay great! Thank you so much for getting back with me. I’ll go back and check Coker’s site again. I’ve been looking through it trying to figure out what would work best. The size I came up with that looks to be about right is a 650-16 but, I couldn’t find any that would really hold the load capacity of the bus. I’ll go ahead and check back on the forum also. I’ll get back with you do I can’t come up with the size. Thanks again.
