This is fantastic. Thank you for sharing this Mercedes Benz history. It is enormously appreciated. Mercedes Benz is always my favourite car.

Thanks for the motivational video. The success in the beginning makes me a bit emotional, and it really does motivate me to get some work done.

I enjoy driving my Mercedes. The S class "feels" like a quality made vehicle. No other car I have ever driven has given me that "seat-of-the-pants"smoothness. The transmission shifts through the gears and you never get the dwell and jerk between gears. It feels like a CVT transmission. The motor runs smooth and only makes noise when your at WOT. I now know the difference between a car that is thrown together as fast as possible for a profit and one that is built with quality in mind.

Had a chance to do the auto show this weekend. Most cars seemed disappointing. Mercedes was there with their usual line up. They are looking pretty good. Jaguar has also come a long way. Stunning car design. Still...the SLS....man o man.

@MrVulcan10 I couldn't agree more. Every drive in my S Class feels like a special occasion. Silky silence, vault- like build quality and elegant styling. I've seen the reference "like a flying sofa" on some MB forums, that pretty much nails it. I'm going for a drive.

some components in MB are still constructed and installed by hand such as the Roof of the car, use the appropriate technique for the application at hand.

@ChaosDynamics yeah German prices are pretty steep!! BUT, when you sell it on you get a good portion of that money back.

enginner like no other,,but it was..now i felt the bad feeling about mercedez-benz, very uncounfortable, just winning in design and accelerating..i love the last MB enginner..there is under 1996 cars made..unbelieveble..amizing car and immortal car

...the W210??? You mean W201. The W210 was built during MB's "funk" years. It is an ok product but could have been better. The I6 to V6 engine replacement was a mistake.

Controlled robotic paint application is 'Good for the environment'? Wanted to say 'not as bad' I suppose! Even if we learned to make cars from only bamboo they would still have an environmental impact! I wish everybody would have the consciousness to know how bad is mining and refining of metals and conventional energy! I hoped to see at least the whole MTC covered with Solar panels...

Good ol Waterbased paints, resulted in some pretty bad premature rusting in early 2000 models.

But I hate the engines, they are so noisy but the car is pure luxury

Was hilft der ganze Aufwand, wenn die Krempel dann nichteinmal 6 Jahre rostfrei bleiben?? Leider wurden meine Erwartungen aufgrund von Vergleichswerten von älteren Modellen bei der E-Class W210 nicht erreicht, sondern KLÄGLICHST VERFEHLT !!! Haltbarkeit (Motor, Getr.), Rost, Wartungskosten, Wiederverkauf- ein einziges Trauerspiel!! MB, wohin gehst Du?? Die ÄRA ist vorbei, aber der W211 rostet genauso und ist keinen Deut beliebter beim Wiederverkauf. Japsen gehen schon leichter in den Osten !!

This is all bullshit, if Mercedes had the best and world class manufacturing process then why do Mercedes have very poor panel gaps, you can put your hand in their.. Lexus has the highest build quality in the world, they always win J.D awards for the Lexus manufacturing plants in Japan..
