and problems, problems, problems....if you optimalize a 5.0 v8 with standard 306 hp you can have the same performance without problems. The m113 was the best ever build motor from mercedes. The m273 in this video 1 with the most motor damaged.

It's not about the engine, but the transmission. Seems like the 7g tronic in w212s revs +1000 with each 60 km/h, but in the w221s it goes 70 km/h with each +1000 rpm

@@JocarShorts Fact is, that the e500 is 1.5-2.0 seconds faster from 100 to 200 than a cls500 with same engine and from the same year, tho the s500 is more than 100 kg heavier.. :)

ist langsam. e500 mit 306 ps geht in 14 sec 100-200. ein optimierter e500 5.0 mit 320 ps schafft es in 13 sec. u somit ist dieser Wert sehr schwach für nen 5.5 387 ps benz. e500 5.5 mit 387 ps 100-200 in 11 sec
