Thanks for the video. I have a question: on my W202 C200 CDI the heating works fine. However, the AC cooling do not work. I refilled with freon 134. However, the cold does not come out. Is there some valve or something that I have to check? The fan is working pretty well though.
How about for a 2010 e550 coupe. I have water all on my drivers side floor front and back. Sunfloor drains are clean, where the wipers are those are clear
Hello Andy, nice job with the video. I have a problem in my car that maybe you can help. That box where the two drain hoses are attached (condenser as you say) is full of water in my car. Actually the engine coolant is disappearing and is being drained. Do you know what the problem could be?
Hi Sergio, Sorry im 3 month late. If the coolant is draining into heater box....it's not good....you will have to take the dash out to find the leak, it could be just a hose connection or it could be the heater core. Its a big job, probably 2-3 days. You tube has a fast video for this task, look for it..
Hi Andy. I have the same problem with my clk 320. no water drips. It wasn't always like this. I've had the car for 19 years. Any answers why there is no condensation anymore. The AC works great! Thanks.!
Hi Terry. I haven't got the answer yet. It's still on my todo list. I have 2 suspects: - clogged drain tubes...MB uses foam tubes wrapped in thin plastic for AC condensation drains, there's also a spring inside the tube to keep it from colapsing. I think with age dust accumulates in the tubes and pluges them. It's a very sinle thing to check or replace the tubes, no disassembly required to access the tubes. - mold in the evapotating core...mold can build up in the evaporator as well, cause it's always wet... you can get AC evaporator core foaming cleaning spray and clean the core. check the youtube there are few videos on this subject. Get the spray can that has a long plastic tube or get a small diam clear tubing from a hardware store.
I've got a new idea. I'm going to attach some long hoses to those drain spouts and flush them with some water, maybe from garden hose. This is reverse flushing. Maybe any mold or debris will come out. I'll let you know what happens.
not sure if it's gonna work, i think the mold and debris is in the evaporator core itself, putting a hose at one end and draining at another won't do mush. you can use an air hose do do that. this is a video how to clean ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hHiOnuUgtVY.html
Does your Mercedes Benz still not drip water? If you run the AC on for about 10-20 minutes on normal fan speed and then turn the fan to max once it’s at max a bunch of water should come out! It also has to do with the way it’s parked if the right side is downhill it will drip on the right, if the left side is downhill it will drip on the left side.
@Jacob-sq6dx I haven't ever seen water under the car, it might be also that drains come out on top of the transmission, and it evaporates. I never investigated further. But just replaced the ac condenser and drier and recharged the system. Haven't driven the car after that yet
@@AndyPMercedesBenzChannelWe had a 2006 Audi A4 wagon from 2015-2022 and it always dripped water from 2015-2017 and then it stopped dripping around 2018, in summer of 2019 I turned the fan up to full blast and A TON of water came out. We now have a 2012 Audi A4 wagon and sometimes I think it drips too much water!
Also get Klima cleaner for your AC system, I guaranteed it will drip water. Some BMW and Benz have the no water issue and they put klima cleaner on the evaporator and they start dripping water the no water issue is caused by dirty AC coils.
Pour water down the vents it will drain out of the car through the AC drains. Just use Klima cleaner i’ve heard of Mercedes Benz dripping water after the Klima cleaner treatment, it cleans the evaporator. Our Audi also has 2 AC drains however it drips tons of condensation when ever we turn the AC on.
Hi...i have same problem last year...unmount all inside motor for complete broken plastic ... After unmount all inside for replacement attuator for open close air ....yesterday another problem...@#$! I have inside leack but is refrigerant motor under passenger feet from 2 connection radiator heat ....another unmount all inside for repair i think...no other way from outside ...!?
Very poor design.. the passenger side on my '99 e320, the tube was actually split. Why on earth would Mercedes use a FOAM tube to drain water is beyond comprehension!
I don't know, I was thinking the same ... My only thought is has something to do with heat transfer or insulation, To prevent these tubes from sweating...
