Mercedes Benz X-Class X350D Review: Posh Pick-Up? - Inside Lane

While based on the Nissan Navara, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class pick-up truck has been extensively reworked by the German luxury brand. Wider track, new suspension, and this X350D features Mercedes own diesel 3.0-litre V6 engine. It produced 254bhp and had a load bed larger than that of a Volkswagen Amarok or Ford Ranger.
The interior has plenty of familiar Mercedes-Benz touches such as an identical infotainment system and dashboard layout to what you'd find in a car. Refinement is good with engine noise and ride comfort far better that that found on the Nissan.
Permanent all-wheel drive, low range, and selectable drive modes makes it plenty capable when off road.

My brothers had a few Navara good truck. X class & Amarok don’t see the point of posh pick up when he spend loads of time in fields or woods getting caked in mud

Foster child of Mercedes. They produced the x350 d from the leftover parts of other models. Ooo bring body from Nissan, ooo bring some OM642 engines left from W series that we will never use, ooo bring some old C class dashboard from woodshed that are useless, ooo bring old slow multimedia from repository that we will not use anymore... If mercedes used GLE or GLS material inside the x350d, they most probably get different results, they could make best pick-up for Europe. After all I bought one yesterday. :D

It’s not going to drop off the face of the Earth come May. This review will still be useful from anyone buying for dealer stock or secondhand. It also presents the X350 to be the pick of the X-Class range.

It is still listed on their website, but yes, I've heard that production is coming to a close in May. Even with the X-Class coming to an end, this is still a useful tool for those buying secondhand or from dealer stock.
