If you are getting the dreaded check tail light/brake light warning, this video will show you how to quickly and easily replace the burned out bulb.
Make sure your lights are switched off and the key is not in the ignition before beginning the replacement. See your owner's manual for proper bulb type and wattage.

Thanks for the video, I thought that I have to remove all the lining cover! now it is easy to do by just removing the fuses cover :)

Please give me some advice and help. I am 70+ years old and my old 1990 350dsl Mercedes will NOT pass inspection here in Louisiana. Here is the problem. 1990 Mercedes 350dsl When I turn on the parking lights the tail lights work, BUT when I turn on the head lights the Drivers side tail light goes out.

Do you have a part number for that bulb tray/housing? Mine is starting to flake out where the brake light isn’t turning on anymore because of the humidity corrosion.

Have you had the factory recall done by your dealer, for the tail lights?

@Liqidarts Yeah, it was done a while ago but it’s flaking again, they won’t do it again for free because it was already done. I resoldered the wiring myself two years ago but now the bulb housing is acting up.

@@MidNiteR32 You might find the part number molded into the plastic, you might also switch to LED bulbs they draw less current, but be sure to buy good ones like Sylvania so you don't get bulb errors.

Can u tell me if the message in the dashboard “replace left tail light” does it reset automatically or I have to do another step to reset .. if so how do I reset the message

This message should reset automatically after a few restarts. If you replaced a standard bulb with an LED bulb the message may not go away, as the car is looking at the current flow to the bulb

A repair video doesn't do much good when you've already accessed how to get to the bulb. That's what people are wanting to know. Pretty sure I can figure out how to unplug/plug a bulb when the housing is already removed.
