Mercedes Burmester Sound System 

I have a 2016 Mercedes’ s550 coupe I have the focal utopia 8” do they make an adapter for the footwell speaker? I am also looking to install the 4 additional speakers in the high end locations but they do not make the panels cheap from Mercedes’.

Do you recommend upgrading the burmeister high end 3d as well?

Hi, I’m keen to have a simple upgrade for my w213 , where is your place..

I switched them out with Focal inside and now it sounds so much better on my W213 E class. The standard Burmester have poor mids and the bass doesn't go very deep. The Harmon Kardon in my old W211 sounded much better.

your review is fairly just 👍. Burmester is a scam in my opinion. Not only the sound quality is below average, the build (mainly made in China without proper testing for sound reproduction) are seriously made from low quality components. I paid a fortune for both my GLC and S class (no choice on that, it is opted in since factory). The sound is so unacceptable that i removed them and fitted with after market system that sounded many times better than the price Mercedes had charged for the Burmester system. On top of that, Mercedes designed the car without considering the sound and acoustic installations in mind. It is so awkward to have a decent or proper speakers placements even if one wished to install some better speakers drivers. Alot of tuning and DSP needed to fully make the sound to be good.

so you don't recommend installing the Mercedes burmaster system?

I think my Bermester system in my GLE 580 is absolutely horrible.

If i had mercedes with burmester i would delete this fake sound system and throw it in the trash. It also concern b&O, b&w, harman and so on. Real cost price of these systems 400-500 dollars US. But producers ask 10k. Just marketing.
