I love how you guys separate the whole infotainment review into another video. All the other reviewers try to cram it in when it's not really a priority for most.
Matt please add the other videos of practicality 360° infotainment and group test along with the reviews on youtube..theres generally a delay of a day or 2 between these videos..its good for us to watch them together one after the other..😊 Also..please add the links to youtube videos directly rather than carwow website..
i just went to look at the new c class in a merc showroom and came out preferring the new b class.i think if you are looking at the c class, the e class makes more sense.on the other hand i found the b class a roomier option and a choice of power above 134 bhp either petrol or diesel a better buy than a c class.does anyone else agree with this.just something that made more sense to me after the visit.the new e class by the way is probably the best in its class. a truly amazing machine.
I don't get why everyone complains about the 2.1 engine. I drove a w205 220d and it was very quiet. The only part where it felt loudish was under hard acceleration.
I do like this car but I wasn't enamoured with the drive. it was soft but didn't take bumps well either. Mercedes offer more kit than the competition as standard and also quite good trim levels and packs with kit. I got a BMW 430d in the end. 6 weeks in it's awesome
As long as you get the MB command sat nav (bigger screen) the interior is very nice. MB is knocking out class leading interiors left, right and centre..!
Yes because no one else wants to hear about the C, Mercs top selling car.... You're all that matters. Thanks for the review Matt, looking forward to more!
I just wish they made the display retractable like they did with their previous models. I just know its going to be outdated in a few years. Wish the whole display thing in cars would be set aside a bit maybe move towards windshield hud displays. Im a huge techie but just dont like the look of a screen on a dashboard
I can't stand the gear lever on the steering wheel. Feels really awkward. I'm happy that they have foldable rear seats, unlike my old 2007 C280 4matic. Though I don't like that they're kind of narrow, as mentioned in the review. Aside from that this car is great. Too bad no diesel version here in Canada, so gas mileage is not that great :/
I only took review seriously when done by you. Can you please do a review for a BMW 1 and 3 series? Planning to buy one...can't decide which one... Oh...and a review on the new Tesla Model S, will love to see your opinion (again, besides the Carbuyer review) Thank you and good luck
This review is very confusing. The car is clearly an AMG Line, not a Sports model. Yet you mention that it has the Sports suspension. Is it an AMG Line with Sports suspension from factory, or just an AMG line, which means the suspension is not as harsh as you say?
Without having muchknowledge about how transmissions work i can say that the manual gearbox is phenomenal at least in th A180 D. Comparing the gearbox in my Renault clio from 2013 it´s the best gearbox i have ever worked with it´s smooth in fact very smooth. The Renault gearbox however is a mess it´s very difficult putting it in reverse for some reason and it is just not as smooth as the Mercedes. Now i do agree that having a manual gearbox in a Mercedes is a bit weird in fact it should be a crime. Something i have to ask though. is the automatic gearbox in that model you tried slow in downshifting because that is an issue i have had in the car i tested at my local Mercedes dealer it was very quick and responsive in upshifting but going down again was a bit laggy.
great video and you know the cheap stuff on the screen if you get the upgraded one it doesn't have that cheap plastic and you can get a different entertainment system at is better
I am confused! Is this the 2016 or 2017 model? Because i am hearing that MB is planning on changing the head & rear lamps as well as installing the dual LED screens borrowed from the E-Class 2017 and S Class for the 2017 model! The 2017 model is being manufactured during August 2016 typically after their summer holidays.... Does anyone have any information about this?
Hi Mohammed, we don't have any info yet - but we expect Mercedes to facelift the C-Class in the next couple of years to include the things you talk about.
yesss please i hope they do the dual screens like in the e class. currently im doubting between the c class or the audi a4 but im more leaning towards the a4 cos the navigation screen look way cooler and the virtual cockpit is freakin amazing!
Great review! Buyers in this class of cars are really spoiled for choice now, cos 3-series, C-class, new A4, XE are all really, really good yet quite different. (I'd personally go for 3.0 tdi quattro A4) Btw, the spec of the C-class reviewed is really odd: it has leather dashboard and power boot lid (I know its standard) yet it has tiny infotainment screen and seems like it has no ACC. I think one should definitely spend extra 1-2k on 2016 technology when buying such car.
I'm stuck between this car and the 1 series M sport version I configured both in white with red leather interior I need the vehicle for my new job where I will be doing a lot of driving don't really know which one to go for as a hire
well the c class is obviously the more practical, luxurious and bigger car. kinda strange actually to decide between these exact two, they in two completely different classes. i guess you should also keep in mind that transportation of adults in the rear seats of the 1 series aint gonna happen. but no one can do the choice for you.
So many mistakes on this video! Please do your research, especially when people are relying on you for an impartial review. That is not a Sport, it's an AMG Line. Powered tailgate is definitely not standard, it's in the premium or premium plus package. 4 wheel drive is available to order now.
I want the build quality of this but the sleek looks of the 2019 CLA. if the CLA came in rear wheel drive it would be a no brainer but its front wheel drive 😢 so I'm torn. Because the CLA looks alot better but the c class is actually a better car 💔😫
that's not even a short review. u didn't talk about anything... for example the panoramic sun roof ... your complain about the noise is not right at all if u didn't know that is the main reason why drivers buy diesel car.
