I am so grateful for this video because my cruise control my ABS light was on everything was in operative I couldn't figure out what it was in this video was on the money I replaced my brake switch and my car is packed to normal thank you Jesus thank you God thank you guys appreciate you so much
i think the brake light switch is failmode on. meaning that if the switch fails your(3rd) brakelight will be on all the time when running the engine. So check your breaklights incase you dont have the obdII reader. thank you driver 81 for making this video!
That's not true my brake light switch was bad and my tail lights were working just fine but my cruise control my abs lights were on not working when I replace the brake switch everything started working again perfectly but the whole time my brake lights were normal
The problem is and after watching your videos I bought the icarsoft mb2 which is not cheap , now it gives me codes but I found out that these codes are not compatible with MERCEDES online service manual.. so now I have a punch of codes with absolutely no idea about what is the damaged part number nor the repair instructions! For example , I have the following codes : 5944 and 5001 related to the same message coming from console cluster unit ... any idea what is the envolées spare parts & repair instructions? Also I have other codes : 23EA , 26EA, 2054-000 and 2054-007 any idea about how to interpret this codes other than just search in google & speculate ? Thank you
Hi so i followed these steps on my 2012 c200.. With mine there doesnt seem to be a holder for the switch to go into.. Nevertheless it is replaced with a genuine mercedes part.. I plugged it in and fired up the engine and now the breaklight stays constantly on.... :-S what should i do.... It isnt the plunger button its exactly the same as the one in this video.. Please help
Same as my c204. I dont get any esp lights as long as the cable is connected, but my break light are on constantly and i tried everything but it still doesn’t work. If anyone could help would br nice.
I jjst bought a c class 2012 from LBC auto sales in Houston Tx, tried driving it once, it keeps giving me a message about my parking break after he said there was nothing wrong with the car . I was wondering if there was a way to turn off the sensor in general.
I tried this on my 2011 c204 (coupe) c250 CDI. I dont get any esp lights as long as the cable is connected, but my break lights are on constantly and i tried everything but it still doesn’t work. If anyone could help would br nice. Ps. I bought a part and changed it but that doesnt seem to be the problem.
I found out that it wasnt the part that was broken. The electrical box in the trunk keeps getting wet somehow. It messes up and the break lights turn on constantly. Only way to get rid of it is to wait till it dries… i hope you dont have the same issue as me because repairing that would be a nightmare
Half hour's work plus the cost of the scanner, he just saved himself $500. People are put off buying a Benz because maintenance and repair costs are bullshit. If you want to drive a modern car get some educational and some tools and enjoy your Benz.
Why did you manually clear the ESP error after you replaced the brake switch?? If replacing the brake switched worked correctly than there wouldve been NO need for you to manually clear the esp error at the end of the job. I dont believe your video.
A dealership would do the same. Its standard procedure on a lot of cars for different reasons. You know you have an issue when the error is triggered again after a repair
