If your radio just quit working and there is no screen, no lights, no sound then this could be an easy fix that you can do yourself to get it working again.
Thank you so much, I used you’re video and you thought me everything that I need and nothing that i didn’t unlike the other videos I saw. Again thank you again 0:02
Just changed the battery yesterday and like you I have no radio working I'll attempt this fix as it may have blown that 10 amp fuse thanks very much for your brilliant video. And a big cheers from Ireland.
You made my weekend..had to travel to family reunion and the thought of no music was just depressing. A big Thanks All the way from South Africa;!!!!!! :)
I have C300 2010, my fuse was good also. I have the same problem. I need a 10amp fuse, if its out and I need a skinny screw driver, t20? Your vehicle yrs? I might need to take it to mechanic but I will update you. Thank you
@@acr8615 any auto parts store will have what you need. My car is a 2010. You can do this yourself. It's really very easy. Good luck. Let me know how it goes.
I have similar issue ! For me the top screen works fine , but the buttons where the volume , disc , and numbers don’t work , so I can only turn volume up from steering wheel ! And disc player also don’t work ! Any ideas ? Thanks in advance
Hmm, sounds like an amplifier problem. It might be something inside the radio. Not sure about that. I've been looking for a reason to upgrade the stereo. They have kits to upgrade to a touch screen with Bluetooth and wifi. Maybe this is the excuse that you need. Lol
@@MarkGeorgeFantasticAdventures I removed the sockets in the amp and red beeping light looks good but everything works even the moc when I’m on a call but no sound on any mode at all…. Hahaha I’ve thought of the upgrade but as you know the car electricity is precise and wouldn’t want to guess any unplanned outcomes
@@zeyadkhalil7489 can you tell me where the amp is located I need to check it to see if that is the reason I get no sound from my speakers but my radio turns on
@TheseYearsWereOurChildhoods this is a 2010. I think yours should be the same. You can buy an aftermarket upgrade that will do bluetooth, GPS, back up camera, etc. I've thought about upgrading mine. I'll make a video if I do. I hope you get yours fixed. Thanks for the comment.
I'm not sure about a headlight switch not working. I haven't had any problems with mine. I have watched a video about replacing the switch. I suppose it's possible the switch is bad. The video I watched looked pretty easy to replace. I'd say do a RU-vid search for light switch not working and you'll find a video for it. Good luck getting it fixed and thanks for the comment. Don't forget to subscribe.
Hello, I saw your video and it was good, but I have a 2010 C300 and I have a problem that the screen suddenly turned off, but everything works fine. I can also hear the radio, but the screen does not work. What is the solution?
Hmm, your screen may have gone bad. You can check the connection in the back. Remove the connector and reinstall it. That might get it working again. If not, you might be a good candidate to upgrade your display to the Bluetooth one. Let me know how it goes.
Not sure about that. You can easily check it. I think if there is anything working at all then it is not the fuse. Possibly something else in the radio.
Mine is a 2010 c300 4matic sport and it did the exact same thing two years ago. Checked all fuses, searched all videos, blogs, etc.. Tag me if u ever find the answer!
@@mygmailacct9692 Maybe there is a bad connection to the display? If I ever come across a solution for this I will post it. Also, you can upgrade to a newer stereo with touchscreen, bluetooth and reverse camera. I'm thinking about doing that.
@@MarkGeorgeFantasticAdventures Thanks for responding! I recently gifted the vehicle to my 16 year old daughter. (Only way I could stop her from spending/WASTING her 8k life savings on a 2008 BMW she LOVED with over 180k miles that was destined for failures.) At least this has 115k and I know she can afford to fix it if anything else happens after this overhaul. Myself? I wised up and settled into a 2014 Lexus F Sport that my husband had with super low 30k miles. Highly recommended, FYI!!! Unreal how much cheaper it is to not be purchasing foreign parts/ labor. : ) Anyways, she is planning just that. Adding a really nice stereo and backup camera set up. I will say that I took it in to my local Mercedes dealership for a steering issue. It felt loose. It was bilateral torn front axles. They also found the rear subframe is rusted / rotting and the "arms" are loose. (And a MILLION other little things that they think it needs totaling over 11k.) YES, ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!! Obviously, we ALL know the bluebook on the car is much less than that these days. I want to say this because while looking up common issues for this model, I found the subframe rot as being a culprit for many other owners. This and the ignition lock turning the car into a beautiful brick. That happened to me 2 years ago as well and cost me over $1,500 to fix. No way around that repair being done at the dealer as it requires a part to be ordered by only the dealership and you need to show drivers license and registration proof to get it even ordered. However, recently I did find an old friend who works on foreign vehicles and agreed to help us out with the repairs. He found the subframe (brand new) for $800 plus a couple hours labor. Much better than the $4,000 sticker at the dealership for only that repair. Same friend is doing all repairs at his shop (including inspection), for around $2,500. Much different than 11k price tag / heart attack I received at the dealership! I'm saying this because I hope anyone who reads this knows to shop around and that the dealership (though thorough) is NOT the final option. I believed this, until recently. HOWEVER, DO find a mechanic with a lot of foreign auto experience. By the way, if you know of any local (Pittsburgh, PA. area) foreign mechanics, feel free to let me know. I'm not sure where everyone is from. But I know she is really looking into aftermarket parts, etc. She wants it lowered a tad. I think it's low enough as is and handles beautifully as its stock height. But 16yrs. old is the new 30, apparently. ha-ha Hopefully, the low-profile tire prices will end that war, but who knows! ; ) Any advice or sites you know that are legitimate and trustworthy for after- market or stock parts would be greatly appreciated as well!! Sorry for the long read and certainly thanks again for responding! Take care!! -Magz
@@mygmailacct9692 Partsgeek.com and Rockauto.com have petty much everything for this car. I have bought from them both several times and things are way cheaper than the dealer. I also replaced the rear subframe on this car. I guess that is a given for a 13 year old car in Pittsburgh. lol I think I have a video of replacing the ignition lock motor that I found on amazon for a few dollars. It required removing the steering column and disassembling the steering lock to replace the little motor that is in it. That seems to be the only part that goes bad but the dealer can only replace the whole thing (at a hefty price). Also, I have found that working on the C300 is actually pretty easy once I dig into it. And there are plenty of RU-vid videos to help. Hopefully your daughter gets it all fixed up and gets the nice stereo upgrade. And, enjoy your new Lexus.
Are you able to remove the radio to see if it's getting wet when it rains? Also maybe check the fuse box under the hood to see if it's getting wet when it rains.
No, I don't think so. There could be a bad connection between the screen and the radio. Check all the wires to the screen. Or you could just have a bad screen
My radio was working fine, but my battery died and once I turned my car back on it stopped working. I just got done doing this and unfortunately it still doesn’t work. Any suggestions?
Is there any connection between the radio and climate control? My radio, climate control, and window (up) switch loses power intermittently, and i can't figure it out for the life of me.
Those seem like completely different systems. I suppose there could be a connection between the climate control and the radio of you have a newer model with touch screen for radio and climate control but the window up seems completely unrelated. Not sure about this one. I'd be interested to know what it ends up being. Do you have an OBD2 reader? They are really cheap these days and that could give you a better idea.
Great video, I have another issue.. my radio switches on, but only for about 3 seconds then it all goes quiet. I can select radio stations with the steering wheel buttons.. As it is getting power, I doubt it's a fuse. Let the utube hunt/tutorials begin....
I'm pretty sure there's an amplifier for the speakers somewhere. It could be an issue with that. Sounds like another RU-vid search. Good luck getting it working. Let me know if you figure it out.
