The Gusto not only headlights but the entire body style including all the bumpers look much better on the facelift

Yeah as I also said it looks a bit displaced. Either smaller oder even bigger imho.

I also think they need to take inspiration from Audi for how the screen works (like on the a3) and maybe even a widescreen like BMW.

Overseas they demand the smaller engines do to the cost for gas .In the American market it will have the 6 and 8 cyl engines .That car is due for redesign anyway

AkMorf no way, the rear wheel arches make the back look wider and more aggressive. This looks especially nice on the cls63 amg models.

***** Kann dir da nur zustimmen. Sprichst zwar mit einem starken deutschen Akzent, ansonsten geht dein Englisch völlig in Ordnung. Und so ein Akzent ist halt völlig normal bei einer Fremdsprache.

+Autogefühl No way, I am a native English speaker and your English is at a very high professional level. You can safely ignore Alexander Arndt, as he chose rather to reply in German - probably because his English is not as good as yours. ;)

Hi! Strange that _only_ Germans think my English is terrible ;-) Overtaking is no problem, the Diesel torque is sufficient even with small capacity.

***** you need to check out Jeremy Clarkson takes on Germanlish :P thanks for the response anyway, i'm still not sure on what to get next .. i not after a racer anyway .. but iam a Overtaker (so the torque is more important than the horspowers) ... thats why i seriously in love with the 5.5/6.3 Liter engines .. as they got both, but they VERY far from economic and well i'm also afraid on servicing such a engine .. since they not to be fixed around every corner .. i drive a CLC 200 now ... (S203) .. i like it .. but 5speed automatic and such a small engine in a 1,4Ton car is just not right

Mario Hennenberger yeah, I am nowadays a fan of either classic big natural aspirated engines as they do not really consume more fuel than the small turbo ones, or if you go for low consumption, then directly go for a diesel. If overtaking is so important for you, you might go for the CLS 350 CDI so you got 2 cylinders plus. Imho, the 250 should be enough in general, but I wouldnt go for the 220 - too small for such a heavy car. Have you also thought about stepping down a class? Thats trendy meanwhile ... go for a smaller car but take more features you like.

***** actually my first choice would be a E300 Kombi but i live in THailand, a E300 would cost me New here way over 150.000 Euros, so i tought on stepping down .. get a used one but Gear up in options = CLS ;) i have a c-class right now ... and it all feels very tiny (specially if its a 4 door car) if a c-class then it simply must compensate that with power = C63 .. and thats (again) a serious cost issue :P .. hard choices indeed

It's on all carmakers basically.. even the national car makers have a pretty high price on them.. basically because of taxes. Just for discussions sake, just imagine the CLS starts here at 180,000 euros. I don't know how to justify the car prices here.. Only the very rich can afford that.. What a bummer.

jeriah chow yes except singaporeans typically earn alot more than the average malaysian and public transport in singapore is pretty good so it doesnt really hurt to not own a car.

just because it is a slanted body dosnt mean its a coupe. audi dose this with the a7 and bmw with the 6

100vasiliy Well it depends on how close you draw the definition. In this case, it's just the manufacturers differentiation between Coupé and Shooting Brake. I know what you mean, of course it's a marketing gag.

***** Yes, they re-use the same screen from the C-Class. They used to re-use the 7.1 incher from the E-class for the previous model. Looks like Mercedes is struggling with their monitor design being it a top luxury brand

I think it's because to integrate the screen, they'll have to break the smooth flowing lines of the interior dashboard. I'm sure they have no problem doing it if they really wanted to, but this is a facelift, not a brand new vehicle. I'm guessing they wanted a larger screen without having to drastically redesign.

***** Hi! Natürlich sind wir keine Native-Speaker, aber das internationale Feedback bestätigt uns, dass unser Englisch durchaus "gut" ist. Das ist ein rein deutsches Thema, alle anderen haben gar kein Problem damit, loben unser Englisch teilweise sogar. Ein paar Videos haben wir auf Deutsch, aufgrund unseres internationalen Publikums machen wir aber das meiste auf Englisch, weil die deutschen Videozuschauer auch englisch verstehen können aber andersherum nicht.

Von der Grammatik her stimmt auch alles und es ist auch nicht so, als wäre es unverständlich. Für mich klingt es nur nicht sonderlich so, als würde man sich sonderlich Mühe geben bei der Aussprache. (Was immer gut hilft, ist wenn man sich viele andere Videos auf englisch anschaut und dann versucht die Betonung nachzuahmen.. nur als Tipp) Ich mag eure Videos vom Inhalt wirklich, weil sie mal etwas ausführlicher und länger sind, als z.B. das "Geplänkel" von anderen renommierten Autotestseiten (meist nur Beschleunigungs-, Bremstest etc. auch die Qualität ist oft sehr schlecht (nicht HD)) und deshalb fand ich es doch recht schade, dass es, trotz Muttersprache, nicht auf deutsch ist, eben sondern in einem eher schlechter ausgesprochenem Englisch (nicht von der Grammatik). Würde es super finden, wenn ihr das noch verbessern könntet. LG

i own the previous generation a cls 350 2006 model and i think it looks far more sleek than this model i wont be buying the new cls think ill buy maybe an sl instead
