Joe Menna it's best to use what the original equipment calls for. We have 5 W 30 Signature Series motor oil.

That's killer! Yeah it's amazing when you get rid of the richness in the fuel system and you lean it out a little bit with a turbo how you can get amazing gas mileage👍

Thanks for the video. I have a 2014 CLS550 and I have to go buy a socket to get that oil filter housing off. Could it be that it's a 27mm socket and not 26mm? It appeared you really had to force it on the housing nut. I just measured it with digital calipers and it says 26.65mm. I supposed either would work? ***Just came back from the store. It's a 27mm socket**

It's a small oil pan at the bottom and I believe it's a 13 mm bolt

Oh yeah I have a lot of people that love them. I don't know which one is the best I know if you get a really good one it will be fast and be worth it if you get a cheap one the seal can break and you may not get all the oil out and then you're going to have to get another pump or you would have to still drain it so to me it's just not worth it because I haven't found the right electronic pump to do it.

How reliable is this car? They have bargain performance car specs. A tune will give 500hp and 715tq

They're great cars however the turbos do go out The turbo went out on this car in about 5,000 mi because the previous owner changed the oil every 10,000 miles with mobile one and it has oil coating and eventually the turbo will go out. As long as you have the money to fix it it's a great car. I'll probably be getting a 2013 SL65 AMG soon

It's always best to put a new rubber on every time as far as the filter. When it comes to the Crush Washer I have never had one leak and I usually do not replace it unless something looks wrong with it

That sounds like it could be right I would double check the lookup guide note the Mercedes end up holding about a half to one quart more then what they call for when you let them drain all the way. Does anyone know if I could just use an oil extractor pump? I had a w204 & used the oil pump so I’m just wondering if a oil extractor could work with the w218? Just to make life easier & faster lol

As long as you have a hose to go down the dipstick to the bottom of the pan you can use a oil extractor. I know there's a lot of good motors out there you can get that suck out the oil really quick. to me I like to do an engine flush and let the car sit there for about 20 minutes and let all the oil melt down when it's super hot. That's what I would do if it was my personal car I would do an AMS oil engine flush and drain it and let it sit for about 25-30 minutes

Not sure a local friend had this car and I have not been in touch with him. I know some of them have turbo problems and the turbos have to be replaced I believe he had one replaced on his car already

Hi i have the same engine 4.6 twin turbo in a 2013 CL 550. I got a oil change at pepboys. (I brought the oil) I went to pay but tech was cool & said its free? But now i have leak coming from somewhere? Can it be the oil filter case wasn't closed right or tight?

Yes it could be I would take it to a Mercedes technician not the dealership I would search on Google and find a Mercedes mechanic that has extremely high ratings.

Yes the Mercedes are very very similar. They all have the cartridge filter near the engine and then you drain it at the bottom and you take the belly pan bolts off. Thanks for being a part of the channel😉
