@@elkofcanada5003 the transmission of the w124 is a pure torque converter without a connected gear to the differential (sorry i can't explain it in english but in german it means it has no ' gang überbrückung') in my w124 e200 when i accelerate in 4th gear from 40 to 80 the rpm is at 3000 constantly while it accelerates. I can send you a video of me accelerating with filming the gauges

0.8 bar boost on stock pistons/headgasket around 360HP. Up to 2 bar on either machined pistons (to lower compression) or a thicker headgasket you should be able to hit 600HP practically stock and reliably. 3.2 can do 7000rpm, 3.0 can do 8000rpm

The setup was not very good! Loses too much HP, when the shift is changed! You can use a FuelTech FT300, or above!

Auf dem Prüfstand war er noch nicht, sollte so um die 450 PS haben. Leider war die Automatik am Ende, deshalb keine repräsentative 100-200 möglich. Es kommt demnächst ein 6 Gang Schalter rein und der Motor wird wohl noch auf 3.2l umgebaut. Dann gibts auch wieder ein Video, vielleicht auch mit Messdaten.

Nope, it's fine. That's the torque converter because this car seems to be automatic (there's a split second frame of the shifter there)

I had the same car a 87 mod, the internals in this engine is quite good, but i would have chosen the 3.0L due to the head on 2.6 is utter shit. And the gearbox on these cars is a flop lol.. But sweet ride man, one of my best cars in the days, feckin loved that machine!

I have had 3 of these cars. All autos... All really good..Never a problem except with trip Odometer and the Car alarm . I disconnect it under the rug passenger side. Problem solved.
