Mercedes E350 CDI Coupe after 1 year
Just had the MOT and major service - no problems
During the year had 2 problems, each around £200 to fix at an independent Mercedes specialist. One had to do with glow plugs, other was the temperature sensor not working and the engine fan was spinning hard.
Al these issues were fixed with warranty which I highly recommend to take either with Autoguard or other company (read reviews first!)
I have installed chip tunning, fixed popped out headrest, made the Bluetooth audio work - all will be covered in detail in other videos.
After 1 year the car is still amazing, comfortable, stylish, nothing rattles, every button works. Highly recommended daily drive.
I've changed wheels cause the ones that were on the car were cracking. I bought 9,5J front and read which are too big for this car (especially fronts dont have space for them). Best wheels for this car are 19" with 8J front and 9J rears.

Hi, nice to see you and your car. I rarely sign in on here,but did,just to say, i have a 2010 E350 cdi sport coupe, no command(i hate big bro),(gps blocker too) 75k now, owned for 8 years,(42k when i bought it at 2 yrs old,ex company car) had it serviced when needed at independant garages, never missed a beat. I changed front discs/pads myself at around 50k, only other things gone wrong are new central door locking motor and new battery. I was a Volvo owner,and went to buy a Volvo,they lied to me x3,so keeping this for as long as i can drive. Remap to get rid of lag, mines a 231 bhp version, running around 300bhp. Fast and great on fuel. The later mercs are not made as well. Throwaway society.

Do you have any issues with the panoramic roof? Leaks? Cracking sounds? Cracks? Screen?

Hi, no cracks or strange sounds but when I was buying the car and testing the roof it stopped midway through while closing it. I thought the car's battery died but it turned out to be the rails had too much friction. The dealer fixed it before I drove off couple days later. After that I had issues with it a bit (slowing down when opening and closing) but I bought a lubricant and sprayed it on the inside of rails when the roof is fully opened. It worked for me.

Hi in general yes very good didnt have an issue, car built like a tank. I would however consider other engine as well as they can be less problematic (220d or 250d) and cheaper to run

Hi, what was the power steering rack problem diagnosed as? On my E350Cdi it was a high pressure pipe leaking, cost £390 to get fixed at a specialist.

Hello I’m about to get one at 100k miles 2014 plate, what do I need to be aware of? Apparently oil change once a year? Do you have any other recommendations to help prevent having high maintenance costs

@@albertakinremi248 I'd just say look for lots of regular maintencance records, at least one gearbox oil change. What you want to avoid is a car that has a lot of deferred maintenance to avoid buying a car that is fine but then needs new brakes all round, tyres, battery, air con service, brake fluid change, etc. etc. In my view german cars, especially BMW seem to get very fragile as they age and lots of minor things go wrong that aren't cheap to repair when compared to say a Ford. Good luck and the usual advice of if it doesn't feel right then walk away.

you can put whatever you like vincent, just remember that it might touch shocks or wheelarch. Thats why I put those 'moronic' low profile ones. And it was still touching the shocks so I had to put 'moronic' spacers as well. Have a good one

Hi i found them cheap online search for DGT wheels. But these are from proper AMG cars and are too big up front. They are 10.5J front and rear. Stick out a lot and also needed spacers in front. Best for this car is 8.5J front and 9.5J rear.
