The E55 is so underrated. Seems like a lot of people don’t know what a beast the E55 was. It’s like the forgotten AMG that nobody talks about. Back in 2003 it was the 4th fastest car in the world! Only the Ferrari Enzo, the Saleen S7 and the Dodge Viper SRT10 were faster. So keep that in mind next time you see an E55...
Nobody forgot about the E55 brother, they stopped making them... This was the fastest Sedan in the world for 4 years straight. Awesome, Awesome Merc AMG!!!
What you mean by C63 won ? Let me fix your eyes or brain or whatsoever. The E55 AMG was a legend. During that time not many D Segmen cars with that HP and speed up to +275km/h. Damn.
I use to own an E55. I tuned it big too! Wish I never sold it! I'm going to buy another. To be fair, the E63 had a poor start. Nothing sounds more beautiful than the sound of an AMG!!!
Good catch; superchargers really are on their own league when it comes to low-mid end torque. The C is noticeably lighter, and the 6.2 V8 does really deliver the goods after spinning up to around 3-4k. The 7 ratio box also probably helped.
I will be happy with a e500 its powerful too we have an e220 cdi its good but I WANT MORE POWER!!! I WANT A v8 mercedes. i hope in the futur i will buy a e55 amg my dream car
that e55 is a torque monster and got enough hp to keep up to speed on the high end it was one of the fastest sedans during the mid 00s basicly a German Hellcat.lol
When i saw the results at 0:35 I shook my head, I replayed it 3 times and still couldn't believe the C63 won... I didnt win... or did it? obviously i dont know what a E55 looks like right? ... no... i own one, i pretty sure i know what my car looks like... so what the fuck was that black car the beat the c63?
Its not a drag race so the reaction times dont mean anything. Its the ET (elapse time) that matters, starting with triggering the sensor at the starting line ..then triggering the finish line sensor. Go back and look, ...the C63 wins.
if we focus on the ET then that .2 millisecond the E was shorted by, wasn't because the car was slow, but because of the reaction time at the beginning of the race, if you see it, the driver creeps before the c class which made him trigger his timer first and when the c class hit the accelerator, then the e class took off, either way, it doesn't matter, the C class wouldn't have won because it lost be 2 car lengths. it was purely reaction time that made the e class finish .2 milliseconds "later" Look at all the other times, the ET+RT the RT and the time to 60 feet were all faster on the E class, I call rigged race.
you know, you could post a video in which you beat this BMW's time. But if you are too busy for this maybe you can tell me if the up and down wooble this Jeep has is standard or is just the "adaptive damping suspension" hard at work. Also a curiosity of mine, does it still have the leaf springs? Thank you.
E55 is a looker! The C63 did not get destroyed though...the E55 did a slightly better start and it looks like that gap remained consistent the entire 1 mile. Closing stats confirm this.
I agree , on paper the RS6 even with the extra size and weight should shitsmoke the M3 but the standing quarter for an M3 is about 13 flat or 12 and a half with the dual clutch... the RS6 does it in about 13 and a half stock. The M3 also beats it to 60 by nearly a second depending on the transmission / clutch choice.. I guess the size and weight of the C6 RS6 and the shape ( less aerodynamic than an M3 for sure ) are limiting factors in the end. Honestly though I'd drive either, both sick cars.
The take offs in the 63 are usually horrible or just late... This is more of the same story, it took about a sec until he gunned it after the green... I want to see a good racer behind a 2015 Mercedes GTS or a GT Black series against something without NoS
The problem with the c63 is that the tires cannot handle all the power it has to offer. This results in the characteristic as you mentioned of a "late" start as almost every start will be late as the traction control is thinking "OH SHIT" and doing some wizardry to try figure out what to do with the tires. Then in that same time frame something like the e55 could just walk away. Of course with a good driver who is on their a game and can predict this nature of the car can probably outdo an e55
Look at the ET time .. I think they count the winner according to the end time considering the respond time when the driver started. Each lane separately, may be !!!
well according to ESS it actually makes 650hp so i'm curious where he gained the extra 50hp. also don't forget that the rs6 has a lot of torque, even in stock form, 650 nm. To understand exactly how much that is, the stock RS6 has 80 more NM of torque than this tuned M3.They don;t give out the torque figures but i would say the RS6 in this vid has about 740-750 nm
the e55 is 650 hp and the c63 only is 510 hp is big hp different but if they are trying with c63 Gad motors 981 hp you will see the e55 faded really are
the only count the time on track (ET). the reactiontime of the c-class was longer, so he was finished later but needed less time for the distance. do you understand? it doesnt matter whos finished first. it ist relevant who need less time
sorry, in moscow it is +3.. and it is the rain from cats and dogs outside.... Nobody would not like to touch 300 kmph on the highway these days... wait summer)
That C63 is like a rocket !! started like 2 years late and almost hit the line before the E55 and listen to that noise of it at the finish line !!! DAMN
