Another great review. I agree with you %100, Instruments and Infotainment panels should be in the dash-board not like Tesla in one single monitor at your lower right side which is unpractical and dangerous. it was big mistake by MB to copy that from Tesla in various models, specially S-Class.
I purchase this car and it will come in 4 weeks time, you video, it's helping me a lot. I might push for that heating as I am a cold person, but I will manage and accommodate. 😊😊 😅
Thank you for the in-depth review. I did miss the "door closing sound". Car looks good in and out, but 250 to 300 km"s of range would not be enough for me !
Good to see you back on air AJ! Was wondering what had happened to the other members of the Autogefühl team. Great review as always. Always said Thomas and his team have one of the best channels! Greetings from Austria
Great review. Thank you. To me, the EQB looks to be the most attractive electric SUV on the market. When (if?) it comes to the US, I will be very interested.
Renovating is cost effective. The automotive industry is going through a through a transition period from ICE to Electric... Mercedes is renovating to make that process cost effective and they also gain alot of expertise and experience from this. Mercedes knows best and will probably be producing the best electric vehicles in future.
I really like the design of GLB. I think it is the best looking SUV ever. I wish EQB was more similar to the GLB. Still looks good, but not as good as the GLB.
In my opinion it has a good charging speed. And many tests already shown, that not the peak power is important, but the flatness. And regarding speed at 70% or 80% or even 90% ist better than most other cars in this category. 30min 10-80% isn't bad - and also not the only truth.
@@autogefuehl Oh, how did I miss that! Sorry! Was kind of hoping they'd slide back more if no one was sitting in the back. Good to know the range though, thank you!
When will it be available to the public in Europe? There isn’t any electric 7 seater SUV in the European Union and although I prefer the Model Y in terms of efficiency and design, I may go for EQB if it arrives in early 2022… Model Y is only available in the 5 seater version. However I must say that 250-300 km of range is a disappointment for the EQB. I really hope they launch it with a bigger battery option!
What the hell is Mercedes thinking with these designs. It's like they're regressing, going back in time instead of marching towards the future. This is just so old-fashioned looking
It is a clumsy looking thing..I keep seeing a soldiers tin helmet…it has no warmth in its detail and the front overhang makes it look dumpy. It is good in parts but over all…not for me. Update…It has clever features but still the review is mild…it is good but not exciting…however it remains vastly more acceptable than the deeply ugly Tesla Y!!
@@autogefuehl come on that’s not true. the eqB is supposed to be the B-Class SUV, wich is based on the A-class and because of it actually in the Compactclass, while the eqC is based on the glC wich is based on the last gen C-class (middleclass) and the Model 3 is a competitor of the C-class, Model Y is a bigger version of the 3, so it’s competitors are GLC (EQC), Q5, X3(4), XC60 while the GLB (EQB) and GLA competitors are: X1, Q2, XC40 otherwise the GLB is pretty much on its own and don’t really has a competitor yet and the most important reason: the GLA production code is H 247, while the GLB is the X 247 - which means the GLB is nothing than a long wheelbase GLA with different styling, wich already is a jacked up B-Class W 247. so please tell me since when do cars compete when they are in two different classes? just because of their seats and maybe happened to be a lil bit longer then usual? no. and AJ is definitely not „correct because EQB and EQC have almost the same length“ cause the CLA 118 and C 206 had the exact same lenght, so are they also competitors? definitely not.
Fascinating to compare the seven seat packaging with the X5 ! The X5 is way superior with some bag room even with seats 6 and 7 in use ! Also the third row can accommodate teenagers ! (It’s quite big)
I own the latest GLA and...yeah it does not really feel more refined than my 2012 VW CC. Worse i dare say.. Technology and design is good but i'd like the cabin noise less and more refined feeling in build quality. And my GLA is not more than 6 months old
12:13 - If only you used that really nice visibility to do a shoulder check, before the electronics has to save you from hitting another car. And what's worse is that you seem so focused on what you're saying, that you hardly even register that you nearly caused an accident..
or "Nice Asia market car." I've driven the EQA in Tokyo and really liked it. I'd probably buy one if the dual-motor version were here, but it's not and it seems like it's not going to come here. So now I hope the EQB comes to Japan and then I'll probably go for that instead of the -A.
Nice review. Thanks. But the car seems a little bit disappointing. This comes from a happy Tesla driver with more than 50.000km on the road all over Europe who is used to a 0 to 100time of around 4 Seconds and a WLTP Range of 614km (yeah) and a Supercharger Network and a Frunk and oh, my car was at least 10.000 Euros cheaper too.
Hmm can never agree with not using leather makes it sustainable as we are eating more and more meat over the years, there is also more wasted leather too. So to me, using leather is sustainable as you make do with everything from the animal instead of wasting it. Wish we did eat less cow though, damn methane gas. Hmm did not notice any power outlet in the back to make use of the battery for glamping/camping... Compared to the EQE and EQS, this and EQC feels abit dated in terms of the electric car market. I guess its what you get when you have one car built on an ICE platform and another which started development a long time ago. Love the 5seater configuration and the non sloping trunk, gives me good old v70 feeling, prefer this over the "better" ioniq 5.
Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. As a start, please tune in to what the animal leather industry tried to do here with our channel: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nP_CvLlaFlI.html In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat would be the reason no.1 in other cases, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you accept it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and destroys the environment, you make them more profitable. Also, if you turn the argument around "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize how biased the argument is. After all, would you care for which body part you would murdered? Or imagine someone robs you on the street and beats you to death - would it matter to you if it was for your Smartphone or for your purse? The animal agriculture industry occupies 2/3 of all farm land on this planet which cannot be used for direct human nutrition then. That is extremely inefficient. The no.1 cause for deforestation is the animal industry. It is also one of the biggest contributor to climate change. The amount of land, resources, energy and water being used is beyond imagination. If you are interested in how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tkjCAmq1_8E.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car. In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. And there are also new leatherette materials available which are superior in every aspect: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u94YXJ72UTA.html Using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all just of common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.
It’s overweight and very slow ! Just 99mph and 0-60 in 6.5 seconds ! To cruise at 80mph you are nearly flat out 🤦♂️ What happens if you meet an incline in the mountains? It slows down? 🙄 The only thing that has over the model Y is that it looks good and the interior is high quality! The model Y is so much more efficient, sporty to drive and a far better car.
you have a lot of information but the rhythm is not great, sounds boring and you give a feeling that the car is boring as well, you need to work on your tone.
I just feel MB needs to be more inovative with their design. Making all their EV just a EV version of ICE cars is IMO very lazy and boring. Mercedes has the ability to create futuristic EV designs and push them to the market.
Bring the phase 2 with new interior, better soundproofing, better space for second row, better efficiency, new facelift... This one is ugly and has too many flaws, not what one can expect from a Merc. Go back to work
I watched the review on this and immediately purchased more Tesla stock ! This EV is a joke ! Mercedes are tying their shoe-laces while Tesl win the race !
too heavy. are we all going to have 2+ tonnes cars ? what is this. my mom has an suv that fits 5 ppl, luggage and a dog, and the suv weighs 1500kg, what are these dumbass EVs that have 2200kg with 3x less range, no thank you rofl
@@Tom-tr4em wtf, she fills up a tank in 2-3 mins and goes 700++km with it, EV takes at least an hour and goes 300-400 km, the fuck. And I like the noise of the engine. Acceleration is the only thing EVs can do, one trick heavy pony
@@dwade3202 well many people have charging at homes and its becoming mandatory in new homes but stay with your cancer causing machine that you need to pay expensive repairs and gas for!
the user interface is just so ugly. it looks like its straight out of 2008 when the first smartphones with touchscreen became big. how is mercedes not able to make a more appealing user interface
