This is a nice DIY video. I fixed my clog without having to resort to all of this. I drained the washer reservoir with a vacuum siphon as low as possible. I then added approximately 2 cups of bleach followed by about a gallon of hot tap water. Let it sit for about 10 minutes. I then took my garden hose and spray nozzle and stuck into the reservoir as far as it would go and stood back while the water was turned on full blast for a few minutes letting everything back flow out the top. Started the car and the washers were working again. I let them run a while to get the bleach out of them and finally rinsed everything with water. It is now good to go and took me all of 15 minutes.

No need to remove the wheel on a 2017 GLC300! From the steering wheel, just turn the tire to the far left. This exposes the plastic "clips" for removal. It's unnecessary and a "pain point" to actually jack up the wheel and remove it. The entire process is 5 minutes. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing. This is exactly what I need to fix my windshield washer does not work at full pressure. I didn't have to remove the wheel at all, just turn to the right as far as possible (I parked up on the driveway ramp so it might help in my case. I pried oven the wheel well trim enough to put my hands in, removed the pump and then removed the grommet for cleaning. I also found something interesting, if the hood is open the front washer won't operate (the rear does). I first thought that my stalk switch or the pump was broken! After cleaning the grommet which was full of white sticky gum, the washers now work at full pressure again.

2017 350 GLE washer pump replaced twice by the dealership, STILL wouldn’t pump just like your video. I had the same issue with plugged suction grommet. I also didn’t remove tire and just turned hard right (thank you commenters). Took less than 30 mins. Thank you for this awesome video and tip! So helpful!

Actually happened to me today, it was RAINEX that clogged my system . No need to remove tires or anything. I flushed out the water added bleach , waited 1 hour and went push the washer button and BAM back to normal !!!

It is not clogged by regular washer fluid. It is clogged by RainX PINK silicone based fluid as recommended by Mr. Scotty. Believe me, I have to replace my pump and nozzles after using this stuff. Now I am switching to regular blue stuff. No more issue.

Crazy, isn't it? The blue stuff is what clogged mine.

Thanks for the video. I had the same issue but I did not have white gooey stuff but clogged grommet which was not visible. I thought the grommet had a big hole at the bottom but it was closed with few small holes. These small holes gets clogged with black debris. You have to remove the grommet to see the problem.

Thanks for the video. I had all the correct tools. I didn’t have to remove wheel as I raised the car on Air Suspension to Level 3. But even moving the wheel to the right would allow enough access. Top video, and hey, water jets worked again.

Didn't wait for the weekend and fixed it already. Working perfectly now. I didn't take the tire off - it's a bit tight but just have enough space for me to reach the pump and filter. Thanks again for the excellent video and explanation! @@letsrolldiyauto1532
