Thank you! Your video was enormously helpful as I removed the seats from my 1982 380SL. While I installed the seat height adjustment as you directed, the lever itself is stuck in the position closest to the floor and will not ratchet. Everything is cleaned and lubricated. (I did not take the lever mechanism apart). Thoughts? (BTW- c contributing to your channel seems like a no-brainer given all the time and effort your videos have saved me.)

Sadly someone stole my 1982 SL so I cant have a look at the mechanism. Thanks for the response! I did take out both seats and have the same problem on both sides. I thought that perhaps the seat needed to be in and occupied to help with the height mechanism, but after reinstalling the passenger seat the height lever still did not work. Can't figure it out. I'm having the drivers side leather resewn and will get it back on Monday to install (I hope) on Tuesday. I'm hoping its will work when the sat is in? @@MikesMercsandothercars

Hi - where are you based? If you have looked at that video and it all looks to be assembled correctly, I would whizz one of those seats in and see if it works. The only slight issue is that there do not appear to be the brackets required to fit the rear upright part of the seat.
