in this video I'm gonna share with you How to diagnose and fix an intermittent Boost Pressure Regulator & Charge Pressure is too high Trouble Code On a Mercedes Benz R320 with a 3.0L, #Turbo #Mercedes #lowpower #mercedesr320 Enjoy
As always your videos are very educative you're practically my virtual instructor, by the way I love your accent. Much respect from Zambia Southern Africa 🌍
Thank you for this video. I have been struggling with jerking car and limp mode. I had 2 faults P2510 and P2616. It was not an issue with back pressure sensor as replacement did not make it better. My turbocharger and actuator was renewed. I was not worried about turbo itself but it seems that actuator needs some more repair. In my when arm is going down there is a similar clicking noise.
Hi bro, Did you manage to fix your issue I have same issue, when i challenge the car during take off or overtaking it jerks big time then go to limp mode.
@@dukebongane2646 Hey! Yes I managed. It was actually the actuator. Since it was renewed no issues at all (approx. 10k of kilometres so far). It didn't malfunction since then. I went with full turbocharger renewal, not only actuator.
Thank you so much for this video. It has helped me sort out a long running problem with my Mercedes ML320. You explain so well what the codes are and what they actually mean and how they are generated. I had the exact 3 codes you describe and I changed the actuator to solve my intermittent problem (limp mode). Once again many thanks from a viewer living near Liverpool, England. I only wish your garage was nearer so I could bring my car to you to maintain! Regard Alan
Hello Alan i want to ask because i have the same problem with my ML320 but i cant find the actuator as part it self in greece , so i have to change the turbo . did you buyed the actuator or the turbo with it ?
Hi mate what is the part number on the actuator or where did you buy a new one from, I’ve rang a few places and they will only sell me the whole unit, thanks I have the exact car with the same issue
Thanks, your videos help me a lot I already replace the oil cooler on my Sprinter 2012 just removing the turbo and the turn base 😬, Could you give me the scanner reference? What are you using on the Mercedes diesel Thanks Thanks
Have you ever had a bad turbo accuator without a faultcode? I have a s212 350 with weird foult, when i gas hard it jerks really hard just when it hits 1900 rpm. And only in 2-3 gear. No faultcode, but i have put a GoPro under the hood and i think the accuator is sticking when the jerks happen.
Hey brother, very good video with great detail and justification, i have the same code 2359-1 “” Check System 'Charge Pressure Control. Too Low Boost” my car looses power at 130-140 kmph, the car runs well but the throttle pedal at low rpm becomes less sensitive, additionally i have an egr code 2511-1 which states “ Check Component Y27/9(Left EGR Positioner). Positioner Signals Fault.” Please could you advise how i can go about it for both of the codes, i have a 2008 e280 cdi with the same om642 engine
@zeeshanmak2226 Test the turbo actuator and the EGR valve wiring or the valve itself, it could be sticking! I have videos here on the channel that can walk you through doing that!
Hello, very good video, you are helping me a lot. Can I ask you a question? I have the actuator that moves when I turn on the ignition and start. But when I step on the accelerator, it does not move. They have done a test on me with the diagnosis and they say it works fine. Is it normal that it doesn't move when you step on the accelerator with the car stopped? No fault appears in the diagnosis. What could I look for to find the fault? There is also a little smoke coming out of the exhaust when revving. Thanks for everything.
@DavidDavid-dz5mn Hello! the actuator may not move when you rev up the engine while the vehicle is stopped, Exhaust leaks would cause the turbo to not spin fast enough which will lead to a power loss and also make sure you don't have a boost leak!!
Thank you for everything. The truth is that I have a leak in the exhaust manifold. I am going to change the manifold and we will see if it is solved. Greetings from Spain.
I have had a jerking issue when accelerating on my w164 with the om642 engine. It happened once in some months and the only code was exhaust back pressure too high. Changed the sensor with a genuine one and still it has occured. This weekend I accelerated again and the car jerked and went in limp mode. Turned it off and on and was good to go. This time it threw even the code for the turbo actuator. Since this thing is known to fail I will test as you did and most likely will have it replaced. Turbo was checked 1 year ago at a turbi specialist and everything came out good.
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair Did the same testing as you did and there are no abnormalities when pressing F3 and F4 but when aborting the test in your scanner opsion F5 meanwhile in Xentry F12 the regulator did not move at all meanwhile in your video when you press F5 it moves to the up position. Do you think that this proves that something is wrong with the regulator? Thank you!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair Sorry to bother again. Did a test drive while Xentry was connected. Accelerated about 15 times and no jerking or error code appeared. Through Xentry I noticed that the currect values of the turbo actuator should be =>85% meanwhile during acceleration I saw values as low as 34% and also these values varied from 34% up to 90%. Even at a steady speed of 80km/h the values fluctuated between 42% and 90%. I made even a video in the following link: ru-vid.com8CivPuuqUK4?feature=share Do you happen to know what values should be expected during acceleration and if such values are normal?
I wouldn't be so sure about the culprit of the drive. What if a mechanical obstacle in the turbocharger interfered with the last move? I didn't see the lever being disconnected during the test. Or that the free movement of the lever has been checked.
Hello!! Just to say that your videos are very good.. Just one question On my 120 cdi vito i had only 2359 low pressure and 2510 y77/1 I have changed the actuator by a refurbished one, Then the 2510 disappeared… But the 2359 low pressure remaining 😢 So it now on safe mode, What do you thing ? Somone tell me that the big hose is defect.. someone no … If you can help me Many thanks Sorry for my English mistakes, i’m from france
Hello kit’s !! Just to tell you I checked my vito with a smoke leak detector to find some leak And there’s no leak anyway I heard that it possible to have the catalytic out of order Or turbo damaged What do you think ? Many thanks again for your help
Bro - the boring part is where I am stuck - The bar - I have removed the 4 bolts but the bar seems to be anchored at the rear of the engine somewhere and I cant see where-- with the 4 bolts off the bar rotates a little but I don want to bend anything by pulling too hard...can you show us the boring part?
The problem is only low power or when you remove the foot from the acceleration pedal, is sound like excess od air or wosh sound? I see the car is not changing the gear an is stay close to 2000 rpm.
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qUH9vctwDTE.html At min 0:50 and 1:16(more noticeable) is present an sound like whoss sound. Similar to excess of air. Do you have an idee from where can came? And is present more when I accelarete and remove the foot from the pedal. Could be the actuator? On diagnosis is nothing stored or present. Nobody can detect from where the problem is comming. Is present this sound from time to time. And when is present the car is not have power.
hello, I also have a problem with a mercedes w221 320 cdi error code 2592, I changed the actuator from the turbo and I still have the same error code, thank you
thank you very much for the answer, the wiring is good, it works when I accelerate to see how the rod from the actuator goes up and down, I want to ask you, does the gas cleaner have anything to do with this thing? I took it apart and it has a broken membrane
Hello my Friend. I have a big problem. My car got a problem with the turbo actuator, so i changed it. now the false code is gone but my turbo actuator moves WRONG. it goes up really fast when i press the gas. but when i let off the gas it goes down really fast too. it should go smoothly up and down. When i drive i have a really bad shaking at 1800-2000rpm. what could be the problem??
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair hi. i have bad news. the refurbished original turbo actuator arrived. it 100% working, i testet it with a good diagnose tester. But the car has the same problem. it goes into limp mode and there is the P0244 code (turbo actuator problem code). please help. what could it be??.
Hi mate. Great video. I have w211 om 648 engine with gt 2359turbo and getting second code in video. I think at least i find issue with your video. Ill change that fcking actuator
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair my car sometimes runs good sometimes in limp mode even without hard accelerations when cruising turbo is going off then i press pedal again and it runs again. In first and second gear mainly. When i hit pedal its going limp sometimes, doesnt matter what gear u running. I check everything and i think its actuator
