You’ll have a better sound straight piping and wielding amg s550 exhaust. I’ve done it to mine and she sounds like a beast you can hear me coming 3-4 blocks away
I have the same year but an S430. Could you send me the link for the two spoilers please. I think they look great and would make a nice simple addition to my car. As for the exhaust, I have a full lift. I'm going to be doing a resonator delete soon with straight pipes and dual exhaust tips! I look forward to hearing back. Thanks!
Tarrell Senior try fuses first. When I got my car my back window wouldn't go up or down and I thought it was a motor. Talked guy down more. Than one day I did the trick with the key fob to open or close all Windows from outside of car and the window had been working perfect ever since. Basically it reset the motor.
@@georgesnasr7227 I wouldn't mess with cutting muffler. You can remove exhaust axle back pretty easy and then have similar sound. Let me send you video of my sl. Yours will sound very similar since same motor just more advanced
Tyler Cain it did seem to make a significant diff but I also modified exhaust and intake at same time so hard to say. Between all three mods I felt about 25-30 horse power
Peter Davidson thank you for responding. I've already upgraded my exhaust and intake manifold and cut the catalytic converter off and had a straight pipe welded in place of it. Also recently put a short ram intake on and new sparkplugs and ignition coils. Just trying to do small inexpensive upgrades to get a little extra horsepower without ruining the stock d17a2 in it.
Tyler Cain i would say go for it. Sounds like your on right track. I did same think and could really feel difference especially at higher speed acceleration
That was fuckin kick ass bro...I just went From my 2000 S430 to my 2006 s 500 like night n day..I too dumped the whole cataliycs and mufflers went with straight pipe with flow masters on my 430 well I fucked my fuse system and got tired of paying a tech 100 bucks to tell me ...I'm not sure where the short is ...so I decided to up it...and Damn the S 500 is a torque monster...hey anyone know how to lower the hieght on suspension lever...
The suspension on the w220 is air ride. I think they sell a lowering kit that adjust the air down. I'm more familiar with the w140 gas set up. Sorry wish I knew more but I would google search w220 height adjustment kit
@@marxstoglin9503 I drove it this way for 6 months before selling it set up this way. To this day it was my favorite sound. It got compliments everywhere. Now with this said I felt like I did loose some low end power but on highway felt like it picked up a bit faster when changing Lane's. Not anything crazy on loss or gain. Also you may want to have back up plans for exhaust if you love or hate it. If I could do again I would go with small resonators in place of mufflers but this route will let you know if you like sound without spending any money
@@marxstoglin9503 also if you didn't know I had removed the resonators and secondary cat before the mufflers. Only thing I left was the emmisions cat that has o2 sensor in it.
Um...........Sir? You know that big brown thing between your mufflers? That is called your gas tank. I sure hope it doesn't leak vapors or fuel. You said yourself at 3:30 "It's got a little bit of that uh, pop pop...backfire...when driving". Please put your Magnaflow mufflers on right away if your car hasn't exploded yet. Thanks.
