We took this video to show you how to remove and replace the Front Bumper Cover on a Mercedes W163 which is the M-Class from 1998 to 2005. The models after the facelift might have some minor differences but it it should be very close procedure.
All you are going to need is a 10 mm socket and a ratchet to remove the bumper cover. It is very simple procedure that will take you about 2-5 minutes.
This procedure should cover:

My 2001 ML320 has 2 additional bolts (from underneath going straight up. These 2 are also 10mm but do not have a big flange) to be removed before you can get the bumper off. I doubt any W163 would be different. The video is otherwise VERY HELPFUL. Thanks!

Thanks for video, there is a bit more to it than a few bolts. After removing those shown in video there are two securing brackets which secure bumper to front cross member with two nuts and one bolt, I think the brackets have been removed previously on the ML in this vid and not put back?

The sides of my ml320's bumper are not sitting flush with the fenders because the clips broke off. What can i do about them? Thanks!

The bumpers on the pre-facelift models were never supposed to sit flush with the body, because they are bolted on to the frame rather than the body itself. Thats why they have a gap big enough to put your finger in. You'll find that if you park it on an uneven surface and one of the front wheels sits lower than the other, the bumper gap on that side will actually be a bit bigger due to the frame being twisted ever so slightly.

Definitely not including 4 x 10mm nuts and possibly more on this W163/ML320 - I'd say this vehicle was repaired poorly in a prior wreck. Probably a 15 minute job if all the fasteners are identified. Love your videos but this one left me looking for more.
