Repairing the fuel gauge in the Mercedes W211 E500. 4matic wagon. This includes replacing the in tank file filter and sending unit. Easy job you can do yourself.
Very nice! One thing that has helped me with that seat fabric that keeps getting in the way is to just tape it to the back seat. A couple of quick pieces should keep it out of the way.
Thank you for the video. I need to buy a new pressure sensor that looks like yours. Do you have a part number for it? If it can only be bought as part of a complete assembly, do you have a part number for your assembly?
Great video I need to replace this 2006 mercedes e350 4matic can you please tell me were to order this from I have the same one with the sensor that broke off and the only one I can don't is with the black sensor
Hi, I have the same sensor but the dealer only offers me the black rectangular sensor, do you have the part number for the pressure sensor? So I can order it
Very nice video Thank you.. I change fuel pump and filter (2 complete units) and have a now wrong indication from fuel gauge. Say son dashboard it is almost full while I know it is only 1/4 of the tank. I check both side and see nothing. Question ; how do we know which side is concerned ? You mentioned on the video you knew which side was wrong. Thanks.
Did you find it tricky to get the lock ring nut back on the fuel pump? Seems to pop up and off the threads any time you try to tighten it with the hammer and chisel approach. If I leave it just hand-tight, I smell fuel in the cabin.
It’s just a matter of getting the threads to start correctly. It may take a few attempts. Turn it backwards until you feel a click then try threading it while holding even downward pressure.
@@YourCarGuyDR Thank you! That worked to get the threads started. I ended up buying the claw wrench tool, which made it extremely easy to tighten it as much I wanted while applying the proper pressure. I'm already over $1k ahead doing the job myself, so the $45 isn't a big deal. On another note, how any professional can charge more than $200 labor for this is beyond me; it's one of the easiest DIYs I've ever done. Mine wanted $1500 all-in.
So I pumped 93 to top off and shook the car around to mix little well and it happen I went to put gas in today not know how much is actually in there and it popped back on when I arrived to part store
