those bubbles can also just be from a bad home Mae seal you make. with the bubble being right by the wood I suspect it was probably just the seals

Exhaust manifold. Corrosion causes this. Starts from running in salt water.

By not putting it back on the motor. It will save the engine from water intrusion.
